[Laffey Cosplay] Azur Lane's Lazy Little Bunny: Firefly ACG Expo Convention Photos Quick Preview

Quick preview convention photos from Day 2 (May 2nd) of the Firefly ACG Expo are here! The theme for this shoot is Laffey from Azur Lane. Right after shooting at the convention, I quickly retouched my face on my phone to share this satisfying preview shot with fellow fans, while the rest of the detailed post-processing images will be refined slowly on my computer once I get home.

I especially love the outfit combination this time. The outer layer is a loose, long white coat with a relaxed drop-shoulder design, featuring classic deep blue and white stripe paneling at the cuffs that brings a naval sailor suit element. Underneath is a light blue vertical-striped dress, maximizing the layered texture between the dress and the coat. Additionally, several light blue, semi-transparent ribbon bows adorn the coat and cuffs, keeping the overall outfit from looking plain. The small orange carrot pendant hanging at the chest is the finishing touch, adding a bright bit of warmth to the fresh blue-and-white color scheme.

For head styling, I wore a dark blue hairband ribbon flanked by long, drooping white plush bunny ears with soft pink inner lining, making the character look exceptionally soft and cute. Combined with a silver-white wig and deep red contact lenses, it perfectly conveys Laffey's unique lazy charm and effortless focus. The photographer, Weixiao, was fantastic at capturing candid moments on site. The crosswalk on the ground and the parking lot background behind, under cool-toned natural lighting, happened to highlight the fabric texture and the character's cool demeanor.

Taking convention photos in such a crowded environment and capturing this state really wasn't easy. I briefly retouched my facial contours on my phone; since there is a slight color difference between on-site lighting and phone previews, when editing on my computer at home, I will focus on adjusting skin tone and soft lighting to make the skirt texture and the plushiness of the bunny ears closer to real life. Laffey's defining trait is being "lazy," so I didn't force overly exaggerated poses during the shoot, instead maintaining a relaxed state to present the character's everyday feel.

The atmosphere at the Firefly ACG Expo is always vibrant, with many dedicated cosplayers on site. Being able to wear a carefully prepared outfit and participate in this grand gathering with everyone, sharing the charm of Anime cosplay culture, is a deeply rewarding experience in itself. This quick preview of convention photos is just a warmup; I hope everyone likes this realistic, everyday photo style, and I look forward to presenting even better visual effects in the fully retouched version later.

Though the day at the convention passed quickly, being able to leave behind such a clean and crisp convention photo as a record makes me feel thoroughly satisfied.
