Shooting this Phoebe set was actually quite relaxing, because the overall color scheme leans toward a refreshing blue and white, and I deliberately lowered the saturation of the makeup to highlight the character's pure feel. The layers and highlights of the wig were very photogenic under the exhibition hall's bright lights, and I adjusted the curve of the wide-brimmed hat several times to prevent it from blocking the catchlight in my eyes. The texture of the staff was recreated beautifully, and the metallic parts caught the light from the reflector board to create lovely bright spots.
The skirt hem and cape of this costume rely heavily on the venue, so a black-and-grey floor was chosen to contrast against the bright colors. In post-processing, I slightly boosted the translucency of the white stockings to ensure a natural skin tone shows through. The convention venue was crowded and noisy, but the photographer was very accurate at capturing dynamic moments. That pose of standing on one leg actually took several attempts to stabilize; luckily, the shoes fit my feet perfectly. The wrinkle texture of the white stockings in squatting and sitting positions is also a detail I kept paying attention to—it shouldn't look too stiff or too fake.
The entire photo set covered everything from side profiles to front views, nicely combining the character's mage aura with a touch of playfulness. It can be considered a thoroughly satisfying record of convention photos.
