[Remielle cosplay] Beijing ijoy Anime Convention White Wings Convention Photos

Today, my convention photos from the Beijing ijoy Anime Convention have finally been sorted out. I cosplayed Remielle this time, and right from morning entry I kept getting asked if I hit a double-gold ten-pull as a Proxy—thanks to everyone's blessings, today's shoot went incredibly smoothly, turning out straight-up double-gold tier photos! The craftsmanship of this outfit is exceptionally meticulous; to ensure the best on-site presentation at the convention, I repeatedly adjusted the white wings on my back before heading out, making sure their curve arched naturally without getting tangled during movement. The white feather props demand gentle care since the slightest compression bends them out of shape, so within the packed, jostling venue halls, I remained on high alert the entire time, terrified of snapping a feather.

The billowing white ruffle sleeves and form-fitting corset waist looked stunning, but placed high demands on range of motion. To solve this, I consulted with my photographer and we decided to use a black folding ladder as a prop, building compositions around seated poses. This posture not only bypassed the dense crowd, but also visually elongated body lines—especially when paired with over-the-knee White stockings and silver stiletto heels, beautifully accentuating leg definition. Venue lighting at conventions is always chaotic; although the circular overhead chandeliers at the ijoy hall looked cool, they easily cast odd shadows across the face. We spent substantial time finding angles that utilized the venue's cool-toned metallic trusses as backdrops to complement the fantasy aesthetic of the look.

Shooting on-location convention halls drains immense physical stamina, especially climbing a ladder in high heels. Every take required locking my core to steady my balance, staggering leg placement to keep skirt folds and the wings' spread in harmonious equilibrium. Because the fabric is relatively structured, sitting down required extra care to prevent the corset and skirt pleats from creasing. I also styled and set the wig beforehand; cropped pink hair easily catches harsh reflections under strong ambient lighting, so I favored side-backlit angles to give the strands dimensional layering. Makeup touch-ups were an absolute must throughout the day, as the crowded venue got stuffy and warm, and keeping a pristine base was essential to look fresh on camera. To ease the fatigue of standing and perching in heels, I relaxed my ankles during stage transitions, yet snapped back into optimal form the second the lens was pointed my way.

This styling wasn't designed to cater to anything inappropriate; rather, the character's own aesthetic design is remarkably striking, and I wanted to capture that blend of elegance and underlying power as faithfully as possible. Seeing the lighting and atmospheric smoke effects in the final edits (added to enrich visual depth), every ounce of effort felt worthwhile. As an active convention cosplayer, I have always believed that standard character-accurate attire paired with thoughtful postures expresses the authentic charisma of the persona—a very pure facet of 2D culture.
