[Hyacinthia cosplay] The studious cute girl in Honkai: Star Rail

For this photo shoot of Hyacinthia from Honkai: Star Rail, we put a lot of effort into the preparation stage. The pink-and-blue gradient twin-tail wig was the biggest difficulty. To make the hair strands look airy, I styled them bit by bit with a flat iron, carefully teasing every single lock. The fluffy animal ear accessories also took a long time to adjust the angle, ensuring they fit the head shape from all angles without looking abrupt. The red-and-white color-blocked dress has many details, especially the bright blue bow at the neckline and the patterns on the cuffs; the fabric was chosen for a long time before finding the right texture. The pleats of the skirt hem also needed careful ironing to present the best drape in front of the lens. That prop book "Les Misérables" with gold edging is simply the finishing touch; holding it in hand instantly gives a sense of immersion as a class study committee member, and it also matches Hyacinthia's studious persona.

The shooting location was chosen as a European-style courtyard with a stone-carved fountain and flower beds, coupled with an indoor vintage wooden windowsill. The outdoor sunlight was fantastic, filtering through the leaves onto the body with a built-in soft glow. To match the dense flower clusters, the poses were designed to be relatively leisurely. Sitting on a white iron-art chair supporting the chin and gazing, or reaching out to the lens, trying to relax the shoulders and neck, imagining oneself enjoying the afternoon time in one's own garden. For the indoor part, to match the wooden floor, more sitting postures on the ground were tried. Specially wearing white stockings paired with brown small leather shoes, crossing the legs or stretching them toward the lens can wonderfully lengthen the leg lines. The natural light hitting the white stockings made the texture exceptionally delicate. Holding a book in hand, reading with head lowered or looking up at the lens, the sense of emotion naturally flows out. During shooting, special attention must be paid to controlling facial expressions; the gaze should be soft and carry a certain sense of innocence to accurately nail the cute girl setting.

The floral arrangement of this set of photos is very rich; a background full of flowers and clusters can actually easily swallow up the character. Therefore, with the photographer's cooperation, we tried to use a large aperture to blur the background, keeping the visual focus on the character. At the same time, some foreground flowers and plants were used as occlusion to increase the layering of the frame, making it look less flat. During post-processing color grading, the warm tones of the sunlight were retained, skin tone was slightly brightened, and the overall dreamy atmosphere was enhanced. Shooting in the outdoor grass, besides paying attention to light changes, mosquito prevention and sun protection are also compulsory lessons; everyone must take good protection measures if shooting in similar environments in the future. Sitting on the solid wood floor, through the thin white stockings, you can actually feel the temperature of the floor; these real feelings also help to better get into the state. What this set of photos wants to convey is a quiet reading atmosphere, and I hope to present this state under natural lighting.
