[Rem cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- New Year's greeting illustration

The concept for this New Year-themed shoot started early on, with the core idea of blending traditional Chinese Year of the Horse wealth-bringing elements with an anime character. Since the outfit is a modified red Chinese cheongsam, highlighting the red, black, and gold color palette was essential. The cutout design of the top and the gold frog fasteners really accentuate body curves, while the detached sleeves paired with a black pleated skirt visually elongate the proportions. To match the festive Year of the Horse atmosphere, we specifically styled it with Black stockings and red high heels adorned with gold bows, adding a touch of maturity to the playfulness—which became a major highlight of this look.

The gold ingot prop was quite heavy and even felt a bit burdensome to hold, requiring significant effort to find good support points for posing. Red lanterns, candied hawthorns, and scrolls inscribed with 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' filled the scene with authentic New Year flavor, further elevated by the warm glow reflecting off the rosewood furniture and branches in the background. The entire shoot was a serious test of physical endurance; standing and posing for long hours in high heels and Black stockings while keeping leg muscles engaged to maintain clean lines took quite a toll on the feet, pushing through entirely on sheer willpower. The post-production artist had delicate control over the color tones, preserving the red fabric texture while emphasizing the sheer texture of the Black stockings to achieve an ideal final result. Huge thanks to the logistics team for carrying props and coordinating on set, as well as the photographer for their guidance.
