The experience at the official photo studio at the Suzhou ACG convention genuinely exceeded my expectations. Portraying Lynae from Wuthering Waves this time went smoothly from makeup styling to shooting. Preparing for this character began the evening prior: the blonde wig needed clean, neat braiding, with styling hairspray securing the skull hair accessory along the forehead. In terms of makeup, the purplish-red contact lenses were the soul feature; paired with pink-toned eyeshadow and subtle reddish blending at the outer corners of the eyes, I strived to recreate the character's exact demeanor. My nails were also intentionally painted in alternating black and green, as these nuances significantly influence the final texture under high-definition lenses.

The costume boasts rich dimensionality: the long-sleeved white shirt features colorful graffiti on the cuffs, paired with a light cyan plaid tie adorned with barcode details and subtle black charms that required precise alignment. The lower half features a black pleated mini skirt complemented by black leather suspenders and a belt accented with metal buckles, steering the overall silhouette toward a cyber-gaming aesthetic. On my legs, black over-the-knee socks with star motifs created a sharp, striking contrast against the chunky ankle boots with fluorescent green soles, showcasing Stockings and beautiful legs.

Arriving at the official set, the staging was remarkably thoughtful. Anchored in soft pink tones, the entire room was furnished with a computer desk, Apple monitor, pink keyboard, gaming chair, and a giant teddy bear. The pink guitar served as a wonderful prop, overflowing with authentic anime gamer room vibes. I had previously heard that Feixiao and Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplayers used this set as well, and shooting here proved how versatile and photogenic the space truly was.

Throughout the session, photographers 逸心 and TOOD provided plenty of guidance. We explored multiple zones across the computer desk, gaming chair, and bed. For instance, sitting on the gaming chair with the oversized black headset around my neck and the cyan-and-green prop gun in hand, striking a dynamic shooting posture; or leaning across the desk, making a cool, confident hand gesture. The prop gun carried noticeable weight, so holding poses steadily required engaging my core. For seated poses, I extended my body to flatter the lines of the black socks, minding the drape of the pleated skirt to maintain compositional elegance.

The shoot was a resounding success—the costume details blended seamlessly with the environment, and the synergy among the prop gun, headset, tie, and stockings made the visual frames intensely eye-catching. We did encounter a few minor hurdles on set, however: while the set dressing was excellent, light fixture positioning was somewhat restricted, requiring continuous flashlight adjustments for certain angles. The venue was also rather stuffy, making extended shooting sessions somewhat tiring. Hopefully, next time the organizers can place the studio on 2F, offering a more spacious layout and cleaner, more translucent lighting conditions for an elevated shooting experience. All in all, this studio session at the convention was immensely rewarding, and the final Wuthering Waves cosplay photos turned out thoroughly satisfying.
