This studio photography session mainly revolved around the Dark Gothic style. In terms of lighting, we experimented with strong magenta ambient light supplemented by a warm white crystal chandelier at the top, forming a cool-warm contrast to highlight the subject's three-dimensionality. The wig was specially teased, keeping that iconic ahoge on top of the head, paired with red eyeshadow and contact lenses, striving to instantly catch the eye visually. The makeup emphasized the vibrant color of the lips, forming a sharp contrast with the overall cool white skin. The costume chose a black-and-red color-blocking lace-up dress, long black gloves on the arms, semi-sheer black knee-high stockings on the legs, stepping on black high heels adorned with bright red bows.

In terms of props and scene interaction, the dark vintage sofa and solid wood table added texture to the frame. The golden goblet, hollowed-out tray, crystal ornaments, and hand mirror placed on the table were all excellent supporting props. During the shoot, I tried posing while leaning half against the table and lying back on the sofa. To make the temperament closer to the character setting, the gaze needed to maintain a cold, arrogant, and even slightly scrutinous meaning. The body was relaxed as much as possible, utilizing the wrinkles of the skirt hem and stockings to showcase the sense of line and beautiful legs.

Studio photography is different from pure outdoor shooting; it has higher requirements for expression control and light source management. Under strong light, skin blemishes are easily exposed, so the base makeup must be applied very smoothly, and setting powder should be applied in time. High heels combined with long periods of squatting, sitting, and leaning actually consume a lot of physical energy, but seeing the luster refracted by light and shadow falling on the golden utensils in the frame, as well as the complete presentation of the overall atmosphere, makes all these preparations and attempts worthwhile. Usually during shoots, I am used to communicating more with the photographer about the position of the lights; sometimes a small angle adjustment can add a layer of nice contour light to the black clothes. This time, I also tried a low-angle composition to elongate the leg lines, hoping everyone can feel this retro and mysterious vibe.
