[Eyjafjalla Cosplay] Pink Sweetheart Lamb at the Expo: A Delicate Portrayal from Arknights - Image 1

Sharing the behind-the-scenes details from this Eyjafjalla Cosplay encounter captured at the convention.

The convention environment was rather cluttered, so to emphasize the character's signature traits, we chose spots with shadowed or dark backdrops, relying on wide apertures to blur away the background and pop the subject cleanly.

The standout highlight of this ensemble is the flowing pink hair. To achieve a dynamic windblown effect, we spent extra time sculpting the roots, concealing anchors beneath floral headpieces to prevent the wig from shifting.

For makeup, to channel the operator's ethereal demeanor, pink eyeshadow and under-eye blush created a translucent, doll-like finish, complemented by contact lenses to sharpen eye focus and slender, elongated lashes that closely match her character design.

The wardrobe combines pink plaid with translucent textiles; its wide off-the-shoulder cut places strict demands on the neckline and collarbones, prompting the use of clear straps to keep lines clean and polished.

A transparent, shield-like or ring-shaped prop stood beside me during the shoot, casting gorgeous refractive light under intense convention beams to heighten visual clarity. To preserve this semi-translucent texture, skin retouching was deliberately dialed back in post-processing to keep authentic highlights intact.

Encountering many fellow fans on the floor who adore our little sheep and exchanging ideas on camera angles made for a wonderful experience. We adjusted poses continuously, finding angles where the large prop wouldn't obscure my face so my gaze could meet the lens directly.

The front and profile angles offered distinct dimensions; profile framing showcased spine lines and prop architecture much better. Mindful of her lore and traits, my expressions leaned into an innocent, inquisitive, and slightly otherworldly state.

Navigating around surrounding obstacles with such a bulky prop required care, yet injected fun narrative interaction that kept the framing dynamic.

Convention photography operates under tight timeframes, so synchronizing seamlessly with the photographer to turn around finished shots was thoroughly rewarding.

Preparing this Pink-themed cosplay the day before took immense effort, especially detailing accessories and wig fibers. Waking early to apply makeup, I modulated foundation thickness to harmonize with the hall's ambient lighting, prioritizing skin translucency. Several natural draft gusts captured the exact windblown hair motion I envisioned.

In post-processing, beyond retaining authentic specular glares rather than over-smoothing skin, color grading gravitated toward soft pink-violet hues while dropping shadows, making the translucent materials appear luminous.

Wearing opaque colored contacts blurred my vision slightly, requiring patient direction from the photographer, who guided stances wonderfully to deliver fantastic results.

I hope this sheer, delicate Pink-themed cosplay faithfully brings Eyjafjalla's gentle sweetness to life.
