[Sigrika cosplay] Wuthering Waves: A Purple Melody Enlightened in the Shadows

When shooting this set of Wuthering Waves Sigrika cosplay final photos, I hoped to recreate the character's disposition, which is both nimble and steadfast. To fit the theme of "Determination Enlightened in the Shadows," I intentionally chose a vintage European-style piano room for the scene. The real wooden structures and warm-toned light and shadow provided a perfect landing spot for that warm and firm feeling in the character's setting.

The bold color-clashing of orange and purple is the most recognizable aspect of this costume. In terms of makeup and styling, I paid special attention to the details of the hair accessories, cuffs, and long boots, where golden lines and purple straps intertwine to create a highly unique texture. Paired with the purple bow headband and the iconic white plush tail charm on the shoulder, every part strives to be close to the original design. During the shoot, I also experimented with different states in coordination with the light and shadow—lazily curling up on a gorgeous gold-carved sofa, looking down to play with the tips of my hair, or even sitting before the piano bench looking into the distance, hoping to present her elegant, composed, yet playful facets for this 2D daily life snippet.

Of course, a great set of photos cannot do without the efforts of the behind-the-scenes team. The lighting technician specially set up a soft light overhead, which, combined with the real natural light pouring in from the window, made the orange layers of the wig exceptionally translucent, even carrying an oil painting-like texture. The makeup was also intentionally designed toward a clean and translucent Japanese sweet girl style, placing the focus on the brightness of the eye makeup just to make the gaze as clear and bright as the character's.
