[Firefly cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Original Concept: Angel Form Photoshoot in Front of the Church

For this Firefly custom concept photoshoot, I chose the front of a church, drawn to the architectural symmetry and cool tones of the setting. Since the concept leans towards an angelic style, the outfit consists of a pure white lace dress paired with giant angel wings. The skirt features multiple layers of stiffer tulle that hold its shape wonderfully, though it left little room for footing when balancing on one leg.

The white stockings have a very delicate texture, requiring frequent checks for dust and grass clippings since walking around on stone paving easily makes them dirty. The angel wings were heavier than anticipated; to keep them securely fixed without exposing the harness, I created an extra support point at my waist, which forced me to lean my upper body slightly forward while posing. To capture natural expressions during the one-legged balance poses, I relied heavily on thigh strength to find my center of gravity, adjusting my look multiple times through the camera monitor.

The hair was styled with a teal-gradient long wig, topped with a halo accented by a black bow. To complement this ethereal aesthetic, the makeup emphasized subtle touches of red at the eyebrows and outer eye corners, experimenting between open and closed eyes. The photographer made great use of the ambient light, highlighting the lace shadows along the dress and the textured layers of the feathers to match the atmosphere. The entire shoot was physically demanding—alternating legs for the one-foot poses left my ankles and muscles quite sore—but seeing the leg lines and overall presence in the final photos made it an incredibly satisfying and challenging cosplay experience.
