Straight to the point, this set of Castorice's studio photoset is finally out. The focus of this hair and makeup style lies in recreating the character's sense of mystery and gorgeousness, especially that thorn crown and the light-colored small flowers on both sides, which, when paired with the light purple long hair, keeps the overall visual focus very stable. The wig chosen is a cool-toned light purple, with the hair strands styled smoothly and given a slight airy feel, which creates a nice sense of layering under light and shadow. The makeup section mainly enhanced the depth of the eyes, transitioning with earthy and light purple eyeshadows, while the lip color selected was a slightly glossy pale rose to neutralize the cool tone of the hair color, making the face more three-dimensional. The black choker at the neck and the butterfly-shaped decorations on the arms serve as the visual anchors of this outfit, beautifully outlining the neck and shoulder lines while adding a touch of fantasy color. The design of the costume is highly intricate; the tight-fitting top adopts black and white patchwork, while the skirt hem features a large area of fluffy design in purple, white, and silver-gray. The reflective texture of the skirt hem fabric and the layered folds heavily tested the skill of the costumer; many wire supports and stiff tulle were used inside to hold up this curvature. Although the large bowknot and petal-shaped edge embellishments added to the weight of the styling, they instead enhanced the character's tension during the studio shoot. During the shoot, a light gray solid-colored background was intentionally chosen to avoid stealing focus from the costume. In terms of lighting, side light from the left was used to make the dress's texture more distinct while leaving a natural light-dark boundary on the face. I chose a half-profile glance back movement; this angle can both display the off-the-shoulder design at the back and make the silhouette look more slender. To maintain the stability of the skirt hem and headpiece during the shooting process, I had to frequently adjust my standing posture and center of gravity, but fortunately, the final photos achieved the expected gorgeousness. Visually, this styling heavily tests the figure's expressiveness, requiring a balance of the character's inherent coolness and a touch of tsundere atmosphere. From hair and makeup to the final look, the entire preparation process hoped to create a cosplay work that balances both high accuracy and personal style based on Honkai: Star Rail's character settings. I hope this official photoset can bring everyone a different feeling.
