When shooting this set of Princess Lusha cosplay photos, the biggest challenge was actually how to restore the character's mysterious yet playful exotic style temperament. The costume heavily features lightweight chiffon and metallic-sheen tassels, which, paired with the golden chains around the waist and the wide golden bracelets on the arms, shifts the overall visual focus onto the rich layering of the outfit. To enhance the atmosphere, I specially chose a Persian carpet with rich ethnic patterns as the background, paired with warm-toned side-backlighting, allowing the white hair and the purple gems on the hair accessories to reflect a delicate sheen. For the makeup, the focus was placed on carving out the red eyes and a cool-toned fair base, highlighting the character's innate gorgeousness with this distinct white hair and red eyes look. Some gold coin props were also scattered around the shooting site. Combined with the shadows on the ground and the obstruction of the sheer curtains, the entire frame looks like a miniature corner of a palace. Honestly, this slightly dramatic lighting method places high demands on post-processing color control—needing to preserve the transparency of the highlights without letting the shadows become completely dead black. I am quite satisfied with the final result. Although stepping on the carpet was a bit prickly, I repeatedly adjusted the angles many times just to find the most casual sitting posture. Happily, the lazy yet slightly mysterious eye contact in the final photos precisely captured Princess Lusha's dreamlike sense of drifting outside of reality. Many friends have asked me about the key points of shooting this kind of exotic style theme; in fact, besides having the makeup and hair on point, the most important thing is to find the moment of resonance between yourself and the character. There's no need for forced posing—relaxing makes it much easier to get great shots. I hope this dedication to detail can convey some different visual experiences through this atmospheric photography work.
