I finally got to shoot Arona's blue sailor uniform at this convention! Stepping out into the light outside the exhibition hall, it felt as if I had jumped right out of the game. Honestly, I put a lot of thought into recreating the details of this costume. Her iconic pale blue halo was supported with a lightweight material, keeping it stable on top of my head without looking clumsy. The hair is a specially customized gradient silver-blue wig; to match Arona's translucent feel, the hair strands have a matte texture, with a few pink highlighted streaks added. The tailoring of the white-and-blue sailor uniform is very meticulous—the bow at the collar and the blue rings on the cuffs feature embroidery and pleating according to official settings. The white short skirt's hem has a moderate stiffness, allowing it to unfold naturally when standing and form soft folds when sitting.

The shooting was actually quite testing with angles, as the combination of a sailor uniform and white tights can easily look bulky. Therefore, the photographer specifically sought out backlighting and side-backlighting, utilizing reflections from the exhibition hall's glass curtain wall to illuminate my silhouette. Meanwhile, a reflector was used to fill light in the shadow parts, making the highlight transition on the skin and clothing fabric look exceptionally natural. I really love the composition of the first shot where I'm standing and looking back—my body is slightly turned, toes touching the ground, with the center of gravity falling on my back foot, making the look lighthearted and dynamic. The halo and the bow align right on a diagonal line, making the visual focus highly concentrated. The second sitting pose was meant to express Arona's lazy yet slightly mischievous aura, with fingers gently resting on my knees and a playful look in my eyes.

To be honest, the ground at the convention venue was really hard; I stood barefoot on the stone bricks for a long time until the soles of my feet went numb, but that's nothing compared to getting great photos. The fabric of the clothes is a breathable cotton blend; although wearing long sleeves in summer is a bit hot, fortunately, there was an awning outside the hall, and the breeze made it quite comfortable. In post-processing, I didn't excessively bump up the saturation, preserving a cool cyan-blue tone to better align with the overall UI style of Blue Archive. When I went back to sort through the convention photos this time, looking at myself on the screen, I suddenly felt that completely immersing oneself into a character is truly magical. Even if it's just a short few hours of shooting, it lets you temporarily live in another world. Arona says we can't do any more gacha draws, so I'll just beautifully record this very moment in my daily cosplay life.
