For this outdoor shoot, I chose Eyjafjalla from Arknights, commonly known as that little sheep full of curiosity. To recreate the character's lively yet slightly academic temperament under the sun, a lot of meticulous preparation went into everything from hair and makeup to the shoot itself. The wig was custom-made and then manually trimmed by myself. To make the ahoge on top of my head and the iconic horn accessories on both sides look more natural and vivid, I adjusted quite a few angles. The Bugles-shaped horn accessories paired with the dark blue bow, combined with the pink hair strands, established the overall color tone—fresh and with a touch of dreaminess, perfect for a pink-themed girl. For makeup, the focus was on enhancing the eye contours. I used dark eyeliner and elongated lower eyelashes to enlarge my eyes, paired with warm-toned eyeshadow. This way, even from a distance in front of the lens, my gaze remains focused and full of life. The lip color chosen was close to the character design but softer and more radiant to better suit the outdoor natural light.

As for clothing, this blue-and-white dress with intricate ruffles and lantern sleeves gave off a strong royal fairy-tale vibe when worn, though moving around required extra care to prevent the cuffs from snagging on the props. The small leather pouch at the waist added layers of detail to the character, and the pitchfork prop was the most substantial item in this shoot. To present the most vivid state, we specially chose a park environment with lush greenery for the shoot. The summer sunlight piercing through the leaves cast beautiful dappled light on me. The most charming part of an outdoor portrait shoot lies in the authentic light and natural tones, allowing the character and background to blend beautifully. Especially in the full-body dynamic shots, that giant strawberry model and the large wooden pitchfork created a wonderful, playful interaction. To execute that playful one-legged standing pose well, I adjusted my center of gravity several times. Having to simultaneously ensure the skirt wasn't messed up by the wind, keep the fork's angle steady, and display an effortless lightness on camera was actually quite challenging. In close-up shots, I tried my best to keep my demeanor relaxed, letting my gaze flow naturally without forcing a rigid expression, which actually conveyed the character's genuine traits better. The photographer also gave a lot of great feedback during guidance, helping me immerse myself better into the scenario.

The final texture of this photoset is largely thanks to the lighthearted and pleasant atmosphere during the shoot. I feel that cosplay is not just about putting on clothes and a wig, but more about finding the emotion and posture that belongs to that character in front of the lens. Although the temperature was quite high that day and the clothes were a bit thick, seeing the summer-vibe energy in the final photos made all the hard work and hassle completely worth it. The coordination of props and costume combined with the outdoor lighting brought a fresh vitality to the 2D anime-style photography. I hope this interpretation of the little sheep Eyjafjalla can convey her smart and vibrant feel from the original work through the lens.
