This shoot of C.C. in a purple Qipao design counts as a brand-new interpretation of a classic character look. In the original setting, C.C.'s green hair and signature temperament inherently carry a mysterious and lazy vibe. After adding Chinese-style cosplay elements, that Eastern classical elegance fits unexpectedly well with the character's own unhurried composure.

The costume utilizes a deep purple satin material paired with gold embroidery and hanging ornaments, which offers an excellent reflective texture under dim ambient light. The high-slit design of the skirt hem combined with lace-up high heels on the legs elongates the lines while retaining the character's unconventional personality. For the makeup, in addition to recreating her iconic golden eyes, the eyeliner was intentionally intensified to emphasize the piercing power of her gaze. Paired with the light green wig and the gold flower hair accessory on top, every single detail strives to stay close to the original character's charm.

A lot of effort also went into the scene arrangement this time. Screens, an oil-paper umbrella, a wooden pipa, antique lanterns, and warm candlelight, topped off with post-processed smoke rendering, create a quaint and antique dimness. When shooting in this kind of atmospheric studio, one needs to control the extension of the limbs well—especially when holding the round fan and oil-paper umbrella. Movements must be relaxed but not sloppy to capture that vibe of "no matter how you fuss, I remain at ease." The photographer's lighting was spot on; the rim light and top light kept the frame distinctly layered, beautifully highlighting the texture of the Qipao and the character's three-dimensional presence.

To me, cosplay is not just about putting on clothes, but rather getting close to the character's core through makeup, expressions, and posture. Trying to reconstruct the character's visual impression with Chinese-style clothing this time counts as a new challenge. As long as everyone can feel that unique charm from this final photo set, I am happy. I hope this showcases the best of Anime-style photography.
