[Asuka Cosplay] Neon Genesis Evangelion EVA at 1906 Guangzhou Science and Technology Park

On January 10, 2026, I completed this Asuka cosplay photoshoot at 1906 Guangzhou Science and Technology Park. The photographer was NightDiva, and the entire shooting process went very smoothly overall. This park features many bold industrial elements and strongly contrasting environments, such as street painted murals, living plant walls, vintage industrial staircases, and roadside neon lights, all of which provided excellent backdrops for the shoot. The styling this time featured the classic blue dress with white over-the-knee socks paired with orange twintails. For makeup, to get closer to the character, blue-gray colored contact lenses were chosen to enhance the eye contours and give the gaze a sharper look. Details of the costume were also meticulously arranged, including the red bow hair clips and the red bow tie at the collar, recreating the original character design as faithfully as possible. The weather on the day of the shoot was somewhat cold, but to present the character's vitality, I still wore white stockings. In the white corridor scene, utilizing the extended perspective lines and natural light combined with a raised-arm pose beautifully showcased the leg lines and costume details—I really love the composition of this set. To match different scene shoots, many adjustments were made to the posing; for instance, with the geometric street paintings, an overhead perspective combined with specific posing was used to give the frame a strong sense of perspective. In the misty setting by the plant wall, a calm and mysterious aura was portrayed. Under the evening neon lights, it captured the character blending seamlessly into the modern urban atmosphere. During the shoot, the photographer guided me on how to interact better with the camera. This set of photos was taken from daytime into the night, exploring multiple different styles. In post-processing, the focus was placed on enhancing skin texture and lighting atmosphere while retaining the costume textures without looking over-processed. I had been looking forward to the final results, and it seems the expected vision was fully realized. The character in the frames exhibited various auras, including sharp, aloof, and lively. The location at 1906 Guangzhou Science and Technology Park was exceptionally well-suited for shooting this character, making it a very fulfilling photoshoot experience.
