[Asuka Cosplay] Neon Genesis Evangelion EVA Rock band

For this EVA rock band theme studio photoshoot, I played Asuka, and my partner played Ayanami Rei, with the two outfits creating a massive visual contrast. My Asuka outfit blended motorcycle and punk elements; the large-area black glossy leather jacket had very noticeable reflections under the studio lights with strong texture, though wearing it was indeed a bit stuffy. The red-and-black plaid tie, metal chain belt, and riveted collar at the neckline were all important details that added layering to the frame. To match the rock theme, I deliberately intensified the red-brown eyeshadow and lip gloss, and sprayed plenty of hairspray to fix the orange high ponytail, preventing it from scattering during the shoot.
The lower body matching tested the patience of putting on and taking off: white tube socks overlaid with red-and-black plaid flared leg warmers on one leg, while the other leg featured black stockings with cutout designs. Although this asymmetrical pairing had a strong visual impact, its position easily shifted when walking, requiring constant adjustments. The red electric guitar in my hand, though just a prop, served as a great support when posing. There is a photo where I step on the guitar with one foot; that center of gravity was actually very hard to master, keeping my instep and leg muscles constantly tense, but fortunately, the resulting effect was full of tension, which, combined with black stockings and a short skirt, gave off a strong stage feel. I also placed a gray plush toy wearing a red collar nearby, adding a bit of contrasting cuteness to the hardcore styling.
My partner's Ayanami Rei styling leaned towards cool tones, featuring blue short hair paired with a military-style police cap, and a clean, sharp combination of a gray knit vest and denim shorts. The intersecting purple ribbons on her chest and the denim jacket piled at the crook of her arm brought out a detached stage vibe. When the two of us stood together, the contrast between red and blue was extremely intense. During the shoot, we tried different interactions, including a set where we sat on a black cylindrical base holding a slate clapperboard, creating a shooting-set atmosphere. Since we had quite a few props, especially the two guitars, it was easy to bump into each other when moving around, so we had to remind each other constantly.
My partner, holding the white guitar, kept searching for the feeling of pressing strings with her fingers while posing, striving to look more professional. During shooting breaks, we would also discuss how to hold the instrument more naturally, or how to stand to make the leg lines look better in front of the lens. The Chinese and English information on the clapperboard also added a cinematic feel to the frame, while the vinyl record prop supplemented the band's musical attributes.
Overall, the experience of this studio photoshoot was fantastic. The solid-color background in the studio allowed all attention to focus on the characters' clothing and state. This secondary creation rock band style allowed me to showcase the character traits while fully experiencing the thrill of being a rock musician. From the clothing materials to the prop details, the entire styling exuded a sense of rebellion with a high completion rate, making it a very smooth photoshoot.
