This Mountain location shoot was set in a high-altitude alpine meadow. The weather was exceptionally clear, with deep blue skies and ample light. However, the wind here was quite strong, posing some challenges for the shoot. The classic red-and-pink dress for Asuka that I wore is made of a lightweight sheer fabric, which blew wildly whenever the wind gusted. To capture the light, natural flow of the skirt being lifted by the wind, the photographer and I waited on the rocks for a long time. Moreover, this outfit pairs high heels with White stockings; stepping onto uneven moss-covered stones and muddy ground in thin red stiletto heels made footing very unstable. Particularly in the pose in Photo 2—standing on one leg with one hand raised high—I had to repeatedly adjust the engagement of my leg muscles to maintain balance, trying numerous times before capturing the most satisfying leg line. With such slender heels, I could only tread carefully to step firmly. The White stockings material also easily snags against friction on rough rocks, so I had to inspect the clothing status after every single pose.

During the shoot, the sunlight was blindingly harsh, so we used a reflector for fill light to balance the high contrast among my face, costume, and the backdrop, better showcasing the texture of the White stockings and red accents. The distant snow mountains and forests served as a magnificent background with great sense of extension. Photo 3 captures a back view shot with a telephoto lens amidst a sea of flowers, using wide-aperture foreground blur to give the frame rich depth and layering.

Nonetheless, the hardships of an on-location shoot were very real. The high altitude brought intense UV rays, and although the temperature wasn't high, standing under the sun for long periods was physically exhausting. But because the dress itself has an airy flow, it produced stunning photos when set against expansive natural landscapes. On the day of the shoot, I ran up and down this hillside for nearly four hours. To achieve that free-spirited, bird-like artistic conception, I extended my movements as gracefully as possible, blending the skirt and red high heels seamlessly into the natural backdrop of blue skies, white clouds, and snow mountains. The final result turned out wonderful. Here, I'd like to share the details of this Mountain location shoot, hoping everyone enjoys the unique alpine atmosphere presented in these photos.
