[Eleg cosplay] Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Cozy Home Style Holding a Switch

Shooting this set of Eleg cosplay photos was one of my most relaxing creative sessions recently. The plush white-and-yellow color-blocked hoodie design, paired with a hood featuring built-in cat ears, instantly brings a lazy, soft cozy vibe the moment you put it on. To match the lively spirit of this outfit, I specifically chose a white wig with yellow highlights, and the three-color hairpins accenting the left side added a playful detail to the overall look.

The shooting scene was intentionally set against a pure white backdrop, enhanced by expansive soft lighting to maximize the outfit's original clean texture. I prepared two completely different shooting concepts: one lying prone on a soft white plush mat, holding a Nintendo Switch 2 with both hands. The advantage of this angle is focusing beautifully on facial expressions and upper-body wear, presenting an immersed yet relaxed state in a gaming world. The other setup featured a side-lying pose, holding the Switch 2 in one hand with legs naturally bent, allowing the striped stockings to contrast with bare leg lines for a visually more relaxed look.

As a cosplayer, besides character accuracy, I pay extra attention to practicality and comfort when picking outfits. The white plush texture of this garment is exceptionally good; the inner zipper design makes it easy to slip on and off, while black-and-yellow striped cuff trims and thigh rings along the waist ensure this white-dominated ensemble never looks monotonous. Regarding props, bringing along the Nintendo Switch 2 served as a finishing touch for her gamer girl setting. Many people wonder if holding the console while lying prone gets tiring for arms; actually, as long as you find a solid pivot using the edge of the white cushion for elbow support, you can shoot very natural results.

For cosplaying Eleg, I interpret her as having an energetic yet slightly tsundere charm. Therefore, rather than forcing a cool expression, I kept my gaze focused with a subtle, gentle hint of a smile. The shooting process went very smoothly, and the photographer quickly caught that clear, natural state I aimed for. Compared to heavy armored suits, this lightweight home outfit capturing 2D daily life genuinely made the whole shooting atmosphere much more relaxed.

For post-processing, there was no overly complex editing; the focus was on preserving the authentic texture of the plush fabric and the layered dimension of the wig. In such a clean, white-toned scene, slightly adjusting color temperature and contrast produces a highly translucent visual feel, looking refreshing at first glance. I really enjoy this feeling of getting great shots without generating lots of discarded frames, and the whole team worked together seamlessly before and after the shoot.

In fact, great cosplay photos rarely require grand scenes; simple elements and fitting body language can convey a character's unique charm. Trying interactive actions with the gaming console this time highlighted the character's everyday side, and I believe everyone can feel the lively touch in the photos. Of course, every successful photoshoot relies on meticulous prep—from wig trimming and styling to accessory checks, no detail can be neglected. Approaching every shoot with heart is my ongoing dedication to this passion.
