[Boyfriend Cosplay] Wuthering Waves Character Convention Photos at Changsha ACC

There was a very funny premise when taking this set of photos: the other person promised not to \"poke\" me with that plush doll, an inside joke that added a lot of laughs to the shoot. For these convention photos at Changsha ACC Anime Convention, I made full preparations in advance. The details of this costume are very intricate; the black fluffy fringe bangs required time to style that messy yet delicate layered feel, with the single ahoge on top serving as the soul of the look. The amber eyes revealing under the wig, paired with subtle eye makeup, strove to fit the character's confident, calm, yet slightly mysterious vibe.

The upper body is styled with a white turtleneck shirt and a wide white neckerchief, layered with a gray single-breasted suit vest. To ensure comfort during the event, the vest is tailored nicely at the waist, maintaining a sharp silhouette without feeling restrictive. The outermost layer features a black sleeveless long cape with great drape, which fans out naturally while walking, creating a powerful presence. The brooch shaped like a blue butterfly with a white star at the neckline is the crowning touch of the outfit, possessing a rich texture that looks exceptionally striking under the lens.

The gloves are pure white, paired with silver metal rings, which harmonize perfectly with the overall gray-white-black color scheme. The lower body consists of black straight-leg dress pants paired with a black belt and shiny leather shoes, with a silver metal chain at the waist adding a touch of rebellious personality. Photographer WiFi was extremely efficient during the shoot, and our collaboration went smoothly—he captured moments of me adjusting my gloves and the seamless sequence of sitting on a tall stool with folded hands. Although the weather was somewhat muggy and wearing a long cloak caused quite a bit of sweat, seeing the satisfying photos made all the effort feel well worth it.

The atmosphere at the Changsha ACC Anime Convention was truly bustling, filled with passionate friends who came to have fun. As a cosplayer at the event, I could feel everyone's enthusiasm for this community. This time, I specifically brought that plush doll prop into the frame—with its light blue hair, red and blue heterochromia eyes, and red-and-white outfit, holding it for close-ups created a great visual effect that cleverly complemented the overall gothic detective aesthetic.

Recreating this character requires a cool yet slightly nonchalant demeanor, so while posing, I deliberately avoided overly forced movements, keeping my body language as relaxed as possible. Whether standing with one hand in my pocket, adjusting gloves, or leaning forward slightly while seated, I hoped these subtle details would allow everyone to instantly recognize the character setup.

At the venue, I also met several friends cosplaying fan works of the same series. We exchanged tips on outfits and props in a very harmonious atmosphere. The site layout and lighting conditions at the convention were very supportive, especially the softboxes and studio lights, which beautifully highlighted the fabric textures. Looking back at these behind-the-scenes photos, without heavy filters or over-editing, they showcase the most authentic side of ACG enthusiasts.
