[Navia cosplay] Genshin Impact: Anti-Gravity Wig Location shoot Diary

The ultimate highlight of this Navia cosplay styling was that anti-gravity wig, jokingly dubbed by everyone as a "beautiful instrument of torture." To achieve that voluminous crown without collapsing over long hours, the wig stylist built a remarkably solid inner support structure. Special thanks here to wig stylist Lingcang; this wig was not only gorgeous in form, but unexpectedly stable to wear. The wig fibers felt great to the touch, and while managing the long blonde wavy curls was extraordinarily time-consuming, every ounce of effort was worth it to capture the character's true aura.

Once dressed in the full gear, the most immediate impression was the sheer layering of the attire. The navy-blue beret featured not only a large blue rose, but also an exceptionally long white feather, making the accessories feel exquisite. The core of the outfit is a navy corset paired with golden anchor and helm charms, alongside layered skirt hems and a sprawling train woven in golden-yellow and deep blue at the back. The tailoring of the corset and pannier skirt cage contoured snugly to the body, though because the train behind was so massive, turning around required extreme caution to avoid tripping.

The legwear also faithfully recreated the canon design: white Stockings paired with navy-blue strappy leg warmers, complemented by golden calf armor and platform black high heels, made the leg lines look exceptionally elongated before the camera. Although the shoes were somewhat heavy, their support was quite decent, though walking during the Location shoot required slowing down slightly.

For this shoot, we selected Miss Bao's Shiguang Jiyi. This vintage-style outdoor courtyard resonated flawlessly with the character's costume. The backdrop was filled with lush greenery, wooden folding chairs, hanging vintage clocks, and steampunk-infused trinkets, creating a visually rich tactile quality. The lighting was wonderful on the day of the shoot; afternoon sunlight dappled through foliage onto the fabric, while the parasol and cane served as fantastic props.

We initially tried shots from behind, as the pannier skirt and hair created magnificent volume—especially in the shot standing before the "Welcome" sign, where the rear silhouette was striking and sharp. However, the full-body frontal shot remains my absolute favorite, as it showcased the chest embellishments alongside the pairing of Stockings and heels far better.

Throughout the shoot, poses required continuous micro-adjustments: how to steadily hold the tasseled parasol, how to let the long yellow train fan out naturally across the grass, with the photographer offering plenty of guidance so I could project the most organic state before the lens. In summary, this was an exhausting yet thoroughly faithful Cosplay photography experience, and the resulting photos truly matched my internal understanding of the character.
