[Qi'an Cosplay] A Dreamy Moment Woven in Blue and White from Wuthering Waves

This set of Wuthering Waves Qi'an cosplay photos underwent a lengthy period of material preparation and selection from initial planning to final execution. Today, I organized the raw files and edited photos to share the specific details and creative process behind this shoot from styling to execution.

First, regarding costume selection: we finalized this blue-and-white spliced dress because its fitted silhouette perfectly captures the character's light, youthful charm. The off-the-shoulder neckline paired with generous ruffles visually elongates the neck and shoulder lines, while the dark blue satin bow at the collar serves as a visual anchor to balance the lightness of the pale tones. The skirt utilizes a structured pleated fabric so it holds a natural flare whether sitting or standing, while lace trim along the edges delivers smooth movement during motion or shooting. The navy blue waist tie accentuates the waistline beautifully, avoiding any bulkiness from the loose cut.

The wig was one of my favorite elements of this look. The blue and white twin-tails feature a subtle mint green gradient at the tips, creating a sweet harmony with the light blue dress. I specifically chose fibers with a gentle sheen so that under bright studio lights, the hair reveals a soft highlight texture rather than looking dull or overly glossy. Navy blue bow ribbons are securely fastened with hidden pins on both sides, while matching long tassel earrings naturally draw the visual center downward, harmonizing with the costume's color scheme.

Makeup aimed for a clean, translucent finish. The base makeup remained lightweight and matte, with facial center highlights carefully brightened. Eyeshadow was kept subtle using soft pink and light purple smudging to emphasize outer eye contours and distinct lashes. Paired with light ice-blue lenses, the gaze appears pure and lively. A touch of shimmery highlight matching the blush tone was swept across cheekbones, which together with cool-toned contouring rendered a three-dimensional, glowing face on camera.

Set design played a vital role in building the atmosphere. We shot in a white wrought-iron furniture area set against a floral wall; round iron tables, high-backed chairs, woven flower baskets, and glass goblets combined to evoke a vintage afternoon tea vibe. Beside the floral arch stood a dark wood retro piano topped with a red-and-black rotary telephone; the warm wood and red phone provided excellent color contrast amid the pink-purple floral backdrop. A red-patterned carpet laid over synthetic green turf added rich yet orderly color layering.

For lighting control, we relied on large softboxes paired with white umbrellas for high-key diffuse lighting. This approach elevated overall brightness, rendering skin tones fair and translucent while preserving delicate white fabric details. During post-processing color grading, I adjusted color temperature slightly cooler and darkened background shadows locally to let the light blue dress and white ruffles pop distinctly against the floral background.

Regarding posing, I preferred keeping my posture naturally relaxed. Leaning gently against a flower urn or looking down while tending to a basket of flowers created unforced, graceful poses. I also experimented with closed eyes or side profiles to convey quiet beauty.

This shoot served as a fulfilling practice in Dreamy girly style aesthetics. From costume tailoring and lighting to composition, we addressed various on-site adjustments, and the final results aligned delightfully with our intended atmosphere, making it a truly enjoyable creative experience.
