This official Wuthering Waves Chisa cosplay photoshoot was an incredibly interesting experience from selecting the venue to the final presentation. In terms of styling, the iconic long, straight black hair accented with a red hair ribbon forms the core, paired with a techwear-style sailor suit jacket, a pleated miniskirt, and black over-the-knee socks, maintaining the clean-cut sharpness inherent to the character. For this Chongqing location shoot, we chose a rail transit station, utilizing the wide steps, slightly metallic railings, and gray-and-white steel structures to create a scene that feels both urban and sci-fi. In particular, that red and black polearm weapon is not only an important prop for the look but also naturally increases the depth of the frame when extended horizontally across the steps, allowing for more interaction between the character and the setting.

This time, besides standing poses and static compositions leaning against the railings, we also attempted some candid captures, such as a frozen knee-raise movement while walking up the steps. The dynamic fluttering of the skirt and hair strands, coupled with reflections on the ground, breaks away from a dull, static pose. The soaring architectural structure provided an excellent perspective for low-angle shots, making the overall composition much grander. Ultimately, doing a cosplay isn't just about changing into an outfit; it requires channeling the character's state into a real environment through movements and expressions to achieve a satisfying result for the photoshoot. The photographer's control over light and shadow was also spot-on, avoiding stray light while preserving the color resonance of the red and white elements in the environment, making the entire shooting session incredibly smooth.
