The set design was richly atmospheric. Surrounding wooden lattices, thick red-lacquered pillars, slender red ribbons hanging overhead, and warm glowing square paper lanterns scattered beside and behind me composed a traditional Japanese style scene full of depth and layering for this Anime-style photography. A red paper umbrella faintly visible in the background on the right served as a wonderful decorative accent. Throughout the session, the photographer and I worked hard to find the right angles to balance the lightness of the tulle with the reflections of the patent fabric.
