The focus of this Anchorage cosplay Cosplay photoshoot was to capture the character's innocent yet adorably gentle charm. To match the character's setting, I chose this blue-and-white bunny girl outfit. The oversized bunny ears are the soul of this Bunny ears cosplay look; with white as the primary tone complemented by light blue accents, it looks exceptionally refreshing. The shoot was held in a bar with wonderful ambient lighting, where the background filled with liquor bottles added rich depth to the frame. For poses, I tried sitting on the bar counter while gently biting a pink ribbon, which both highlighted the outfit's details and conveyed an obedient yet slightly playful vibe.
Costume-wise, the white top features delicate lace trim and an off-shoulder design, with the black buckle detail at the waist adding great visual appeal. The lower half is paired with blue-and-white thigh-high Striped stockings, and to add layering, thigh straps and subtly visible high heels were included. The Striped stockings have a fantastic texture that accentuates leg lines under the lighting, serving as a key visual focal point of this set. Because of the bunny girl theme, I also put effort into facial expression management—looking toward the camera with a slightly dreamy, unfocused gaze. During the shoot, the warm yellow ambient light contrasted with the cool tones of the costume, and the lighting technician added soft fill light to bring out the fabric folds and textures.
This bunny girl look required great patience with details; for example, the bows and lace on the headpiece had to be adjusted to the ideal angle to look three-dimensional. When biting the pink ribbon, we tried several angles to ensure it looked natural without stealing focus from the eyes. Choosing a seated pose was meant to emphasize the leg lines in the frame, as these thigh-high Striped stockings are a very attractive part of the outfit. Tensing the calves and angling the legs helped draw the viewer's focus to the legs. We alternated between crouching and sitting for multiple rounds, touching up makeup a few times to keep my expressions fresh. For props, the wine goblet and metallic tray served as great accents, enhancing the tavern ambiance.
Completing this entire shoot was not only a test of physical stamina, but also an in-depth exploration of character interpretation. Beyond the thigh straps and stockings, hair styling was more intricate than everyday looks. In post-production, we preserved the natural texture of the raw photos without over-smoothing, retaining realistic skin texture and depth of shadows to present the character authentically. The final images everyone sees went through numerous color grading revisions before settling on a rich, saturated tone that doesn't compromise the character's innate clarity and transparency.
Every time I finish cosplaying a character, I feel a deeper connection. For a character like Anchorage, balancing lively energy with natural cuteness is the hardest part, requiring fine adjustments in eye gaze and micro-expressions around the mouth. Communication with the photographer was crucial; I shared thoughts on poses and angles that better captured the original game's essence. I didn't expect posing on a bar counter to demand so much leg strength, but in this outfit with the lighting and props, that subtle contrast made for stunning photos. This design combining black-and-white checkers with pale blue is cute yet tests wearing comfort—fortunately, the overall experience was great. I still remember spending nearly forty minutes just adjusting the bunny ear angles during fittings; details truly make or break the look. Overall, I am very satisfied with this attempt. With the support of lighting and ambiance, it created a presentation completely distinct from daily life. For cosplayers looking to try a similar style, paying attention to the waist buckle and the indentation from leg stockings will elevate the overall character texture significantly. From makeup tweaks to taming stray hairs, every step brings you closer to the character.
