This Azur Lane Albion Cosplay photoshoot has finally met everyone. That's me in the frame! For this look, I made a few adjustments to the original character design to better align with my personal aesthetic. Although the promotional copy mentioned a cheongsam, in the final presentation of the costume, I chose a lightweight, breathable white lace tulle slip dress paired with white lace garter Stockings and white pointed-toe high heels, blending the character's ethereal grace with subtle sensuality.

For hair and makeup, to stay true to the character, I wore a light purple waist-length wig along with distinctive, long pointed elf ears, pinning a pink butterfly hair accessory and delicate floral bead ornaments to the right side of my hair. To elevate the overall delicacy, my neck and wrists were accessorized with matching lace chokers and fine chain jewelry. The makeup focused on soft pink eyeshadow and blush paired with rosy lips, hoping to project an ethereal yet vibrant presence before the camera.

Scouting the location also took quite some thought; we chose an ancient-style studio in Shanghai for the shoot. The venue was arranged with traditional wooden daybeds, folding screens, candlesticks, and tea tables. To conjure a fairy-like atmosphere, extensive branches of white cherry blossoms were arranged beside the carved lattice windows, complemented by a smoke machine to create a dreamy, misty effect. The surrounding white ink-wash style gauze drapes also greatly enriched the layers of the frame, allowing me to fully immerse myself in this whimsical fantasy world before the lens.

During the shoot, to convey varying moods, I utilized props like round fans, oil-paper umbrellas, and teacups. For example, lying on the blanket propping my chin, glancing back over my shoulder while holding an oil-paper umbrella, or half-covering my face with a round fan. Because the fabric of the dress is rather sheer and light, special attention was needed when posing to balance the leg lines and the drape of the tulle—showcasing the texture of the Stockings while maintaining poise and grace. Although the temperature was fairly low during the shoot and the smoke pellets had a strong odor, the photographer captured the light and shadow impeccably; backlighting and side-backlighting beautifully outlined the contours of the figure and the translucency of the attire in this Anime-style photography.

From early costume coordination and prop prep to on-site set design and lighting cooperation, every step of this project went through repeated discussions. I'm personally very satisfied with the final outcome; it preserves the character's original traits while incorporating my own interpretation of the styling. I hope everyone enjoys this visual presentation blending subtle classical elegance with fantasy.
