[Sirius cosplay] Azur Lane Pure White Oath Bride: Freezing Romantic Moments

Shooting this Oath Bride version of Sirius from Azur Lane took roughly half a month of preparation from the initial fitting to the final edits. When I first received the costume, what drew me in most was the extensive white lace across the upper bodice and the three-dimensional floral embellishments at the halter neck. The neckline is tailored from sheer tulle edged with delicate lace trims, featuring a diamond-shaped chest cutout that made proper undergarments critical. To guarantee clean visuals during the shoot, I layered a strapless bandeau inside this one-piece mini dress for coverage; combined with thigh straps and flowing long train drapes, the fabric naturally gathered into graceful ripples with every step.

For the wig, I selected a short silver-white bob with bangs trimmed to flatter my face, paired with vibrant red contact lenses to closely mirror her canon character design. The bridal veil served as the soul of this Bride cosplay look—edged with a ring of delicate lace trim, I deliberately pinned a white floral hair accessory to the side to enhance dimensional layering. The makeup emphasized structured eye contours, blending reddish eyeshadow to lend the gaze depth while keeping the foundation clean, luminous, and fair, finished with a natural rose-nude lip color.

The set was built around an indoor scene bathed in interwoven hues of pink and violet, featuring white gothic openwork window lattices, Roman pillars, and an angelic statue centered in the backdrop. The lighting technician laid down pink-and-purple ambient rim lighting to establish the mood, balanced by key lights to sculpt clear facial highlights. Sitting on an ornate white European carved chair, the photographer had me explore diverse poses. We began with a side-sitting posture with crossed legs, holding the edges of the veil with both hands to showcase my neck and shoulder lines alongside the flowing drape of the gown. Later, I curled my legs up onto the chair, hugging my knees—a pose that fully elongated leg lines, where the platform high heels visually stretched proportions even further.

To accentuate a more sensual facet, we also experimented with raising one leg onto the adjacent plinth while letting the other drape down naturally, pulling lightly at the skirt hem. The white high heels echoed the overall styling; although the stiletto heels were tall, the supportive platform kept balancing manageable. The shot sitting on the chair raising the veil high with both hands aimed primarily to catch the veil's dynamic arc in motion; to capture that airy, floating drape, I lifted it repeatedly until my arms grew quite sore.

The entire shoot progressed seamlessly. Pink roses scattered throughout the set and white fabric draping across the floor cultivated an intensely romantic atmosphere. Bridal attire is undeniably demanding with its intricate details—the delicate lace snags easily and trailing skirts inevitably pick up floor dust, requiring cautious upkeep between takes. This project was not only the realization of a cherished cosplay set, but also a profoundly joyful journey of visual creation.
