For this CICF convention, I brought out an original maid headcanon for Ajitani Hifumi, and I'm genuinely thrilled with how it turned out. Preparing this Blue Archive custom design took a lot of thought. Since the original character design is firmly rooted in school uniform aesthetics, I selected a deep navy blue maid outfit accented with generous amounts of white lace and cascading ruffles, aiming to infuse her quintessential signature elements into the classic maid foundation. To prevent the deep blue from looking heavy, the skirt was tailored from structured, resilient fabric that fluffs up effortlessly with the slightest spin. For the wig, I trimmed blunt bangs and styled twin tails, choosing a soft pale blonde shade true to the original design with delicate subtle curls at the tips.

To elevate character recognition, I handcrafted the yellow halo prop above my head using a lightweight bracket secured to a headband. This prevented neck strain from heavy props while maintaining that authentic floating illusion on camera. Accents like the tiny badges pinned to the apron and the plump, round white chick plush toy (Peroro-inspired) held in my hands served as vital focal points. During shooting, interacting with the serving tray and chick plush allowed for vibrant dynamic posing—cradling it gently or balancing it atop my head—which made the shots lively rather than stiff, static poses. Walking down the street carrying a tray amidst passing crowds genuinely felt like working a part-time delivery shift right outside the convention.

For makeup, to highlight her cuteness with a subtle hint of playful tsundere charm, I deepened the reddish eyeshadow blending below the lower lash line, paired with pronounced aegyo sal and energetic blush to make my gaze pop before the lens. We chose the exterior of a sleek modern building as our location, shooting in natural daylight supplemented by a reflector for clean facial fill. The photographer excelled at angles: several high-angle shots accentuated the darling maid dress and the zettai ryouiki of the White stockings, while slight low-angle perspectives elongated leg lines, capturing just the right subtle thigh indent against the White stockings. To keep the stockings sleek and taut, I gently tugged the tops between takes to prevent wrinkles from disrupting the frame's polished aesthetic.

Shooting outdoors in white hosiery requires constant maintenance—especially when walking around—to prevent snags or bunching around the knees. For footwear, I chose round-toe white Mary Jane leather shoes, perfectly unifying the maid uniform and White stockings aesthetic. Framing positions were refined repeatedly, keeping the subject centered or leaning slightly forward to create visual breathing room.

We explored diverse body language throughout the shoot—hands on hips, cupping both cheeks, or aiming energetic gestures straight toward the camera. Hifumi's vibrant spirit and endearing airheaded charm are tailor-made for roaming and shooting at conventions. The entire day was pure joy; this custom styling is my heartfelt love letter to the character, and I thoroughly relished every second playing Ajitani Hifumi in front of the lens.
