This set of photos was taken at a newly opened cyberpunk-style studio in Shanghai (definitely a top mention for my Shanghai photo studio recommendations). The scene setup has incredible texture—shipping containers, iron chains, neon light tubes, and industrial fencing completely max out the wasteland sci-fi vibe. The venue is highly spacious, and the props are arranged thoughtfully; you can easily get a great shot in just about any corner.

The positioning in the first cover photo was actually a spontaneous idea. Standing next to the yellow fence, the photographer used the on-site blue and pink LED strips for rim lighting, which, combined with the prop gun I brought, instantly helped me find the character's vibe. During the shoot, it was quite a test for facial expression management; to match this hardcore background, I couldn't smile too sweetly—it needed to have a touch of cool aloofness and detachment.

The overall color tone didn't require much post-processing adjustment, as the studio's lighting layout itself has great depth, preserving dark details beautifully. Following this experience, I feel this kind of scene is extremely friendly for anyone looking to do a Techwear outfit, a cybernetic girl look, or apocalyptic themed Cosplay photography. Since it's a new studio, the props are still very fresh, and with controllable lighting, the shooting efficiency is incredibly high.

I personally love the composition of the sitting pose in the second photo, which utilizes the tires in the foreground and the lines in the background to give the frame a sense of extension. The third full-length shot also showcases the sense of space, though personally, I feel a half-body or close-up shot highlights the character's details better. All in all, this session went smoothly. The studio's hardware and lighting layout exceeded expectations, making this an ideal venue for Industrial style photography. I will definitely come back to try different style combinations when I get the chance.
