This Anby cosplay photoshoot has finally been edited and released. Choosing this abandoned warehouse with a heavy industrial style as the shooting location was entirely due to its rusty metal cabinets, oil drums with yellow and black warning stripes, and that metal staircase full of gritty texture, which perfectly match the techwear outfit worn by Anby.

The day of the shoot was actually very hard work. The fluorescent green of this costume looks particularly amazing in dark environments, but the mechanical backpack on my back combined with the hand-held tactical props made every movement require more energy to support. The makeup artist designed a cool look, with red pupils paired with silver short hair; the resulting effect gave off a strong vibe of a cold executor. When posing, I also referenced some iconic standing and sitting postures from the original settings, such as sitting sideways on an oil drum or standing sharply by a window frame. With the studio lights shining down on set, the contours of the person blended very naturally into the scene.

Before shooting this set, I actually did a lot of homework. Because the character's personality is quite expressionless ('kuudere'), yet carries a hazy sense of mystery, I held back extra smiles in front of the lens, relying more on the gaze and the strength of holding the props to convey that sense of focus. Although the equipment was very cumbersome to put on and take off, and the buckles on the shoes and the straps on the legs needed repeated adjustments, the moment I saw the final photos, all the fatigue turned into motivation. Even though these are static captures, I hope the images allow viewers to feel the character's innate resilience and her contrast with daily life.

I feel the texture of the final photos turned out great, especially those industrial wasteland style elements, which beautifully set off the character's temperament. Compared to gorgeous studio photography, this kind of rugged and slightly cyberpunk scene brings out the tension of the styling even better. Perhaps the charm of Anime-style photography lies in using real-world light, shadow, and physical props to pull fictional characters into a real space, restoring that fantasy unique to players. I'll organize more behind-the-scenes clips and different stylings later, hoping to bring everyone more distinct perspectives.
