The bright yellow color-blocking against black and white, paired with the high collar and off-the-shoulder cut, demanded high precision in tailoring. I specially selected a structured high-collar choker, repeatedly adjusting the black buckle angle to ensure it wouldn't shift when turning while maintaining a crisp neckline. The thin yellow strap draping from the waist initially worried me that it might sway erratically while walking, but using stiff webbing turned it into a remarkably lively accent for the overall look.
The oversized black waist pack was the most functional part of this Techwear outfit; the splicing of yellow stripes and black leather served as both aesthetic flair and practical storage for small essentials. During the shoot, I deliberately wore it cross-body, letting its volume counterbalance the skin-baring upper body. The denim shorts featured frayed hems; the distressed edge softened the high-tech sheen of the outfit, bringing it closer to casual street style. To maintain the perky ahoge atop the wig throughout the day, I inserted fine wire support inside the fiber, ensuring it preserved that dynamic manga bounce even in strong breezes or dynamic movement.
The exhibition lighting was ideal for capturing high-saturation styling; the blue ambient bokeh and metallic railings behind formed a sleek, cold backdrop that made the yellow and white pop vividly. I chose light blue-grey contacts to echo the outfit's cool tones and sharpen my gaze. Because of the cropped off-the-shoulder top, I applied extra body makeup across my shoulders and arms to even out joint shadows, preventing skin tone breaks in close-ups. This costume is quite demanding on body proportions—especially the waist-to-hip line—so I subtly angled my body while posing, using the waist pack's placement and the thigh garter to visually elongate the lower body in these Convention photos.
Preparing the complete look—from wig styling to accessory assembly—took over half a day. The alignment of the black leather bag, yellow stripes, and glove cuffs all directly influenced the final visual polish. On the show floor, many fellow fans asked how the waist pack's structure was reinforced; I had actually inserted a rigid inner lining so it wouldn't sag no matter how I moved.
