[March 7th cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Exhibition Nap & Work Record

The venue for this Honkai: Star Rail Carnival was much larger than expected, requiring everyone to squeeze through the crowds during peak hours. I woke up at 7 AM to rush my makeup; styling the wig and putting the outfit together took quite some time. The focal points of this costume are the collar accessories and the black choker, which felt slightly tight on the neck after wearing it for long periods, and the thick wig pieces also added considerable weight. During the morning, I was constantly posing for photos and interacting near the booth, but by the afternoon, my stamina had genuinely reached its limit. I have to admit that working and doing Comic convention live coverage gigs is extremely physically demanding. Taking advantage of a brief lull in foot traffic, I quickly found a resting spot to lie down and recharge. That is actually where this candid photo came from—truly lying down in the break area. Since it was so noisy around, I kept the wig on, pulled over the blanket, and snapped a photo while lying flat. The carpet in the room was pink, and the character posters on the walls filled the space with an immersive work atmosphere. While resting, I thought about how a cosplayer must not only stay in top form, but also constantly ensure the wig doesn't mess up and the makeup stays intact. Even though it's character cosplay, as a model in front of the lens, I've gotten used to this high-intensity pace. Snapping this selfie while lying down happened to showcase the garment details nicely—including the lace along the collar, the shirt buttons, and the new eye makeup technique I tried, layering eyeshadow several times to achieve this translucent pink look. In fact, cosplaying a well-known character always brings a lot of pressure to be as source-accurate as possible. Capturing this moment while lying down during an event break not only recorded my most exhausted side, but also unexpectedly produced a relaxed, everyday feel. After resting for about half an hour, I got back up to touch up my base makeup, put my contacts back on, and rushed to the next shoot location. The exhibition atmosphere was noisy, but every step was fun. Overall, this outfit and wig pairing was a brand-new attempt. Exhausting as it was, combined with the work experience at this Honkai: Star Rail Carnival, it became a unique memory. After all, every character has a distinct personality, and as an exhibitor, being able to convey some of the character's charm to visiting fans through the camera makes all the exhaustion feel worthwhile.
