For Cyrene's "Wonderful Holiday" look, my overall goal was to deliver a crisp, vibrant visual effect blending futuristic accents with anime-style sweetness. When conceptualizing this Cyrene: Wonderful Holiday styling, I drew inspiration from the seamless fusion of sci-fi and daily life in Honkai: Star Rail. Starting with the garment selection, I eschewed overly intricate designs, choosing a basic white tank top tucked into a dark pleated skirt as the base layer, which beautifully accentuates the waistline proportions. For the outerwear, I deliberately chose a hooded windbreaker made of translucent holographic material; under studio lighting, this fabric refracts multifaceted luminous halos that echo the hanging holographic discs and star ornaments in the background. As for the wig, the primary hue is bright pink, with subtle streaks of baby blue and lavender blended into the sideburns and ends. Braiding a thick plait along the side and topping it with a light blue knit beanie gave the hair rich dimension without appearing cluttered.
In terms of makeup, to complement this strong anime-style aesthetic, I softened the lip contour while emphasizing under-eye blush and glitter at the outer corners, keeping the overall complexion clean and translucent. Holding a pink lollipop as a prop not only made hand poses feel natural, but also injected a touch of playful charm. For accessories, I went with a small white crossbody bag with a woven strap, a silver necklace, and a patterned bandana tied at the waist, aiming for rich detail without clutter. On my feet, white chunky dad sneakers paired with scrunch socks kept the entire dopamine dressing visually buoyant and perfectly attuned to a holiday outing theme.
The studio arrangement that day aligned seamlessly with the concept. A vast light-blue backdrop adorned with suspended holographic tinsel rendered the space airy and dreamlike. Silver heart-shaped balloons and lavender-pink balloons on the left added dimensional volume, while a light-blue plush star cushion and two pink lop-eared plushies on the right boosted the cuteness factor immediately. The photographer had a brilliant eye for light and shadow, suggesting I wear the jacket half off-the-shoulder to break any rigidity, thereby highlighting the fabric's folds and sheer texture from the front, side, and back. We primarily utilized cool-toned blue lighting, capitalizing on the reflective properties of the holographic jacket to create delicate highlights throughout the frame.
We shot full-body photos across multiple perspectives. In the frontal composition, placing the figure dead center naturally guides the eye toward the legs and waistline while providing a complete view of the layered ensemble. The profile angle tested relaxed posture—leaning slightly forward while toying with the lollipop lent narrative depth to the shot. Meanwhile, back-view shots showcased the rear stripe detailing of the garment and the intricate braid structure, exuding an effortless yet carefully crafted flair that I adore. This set avoided overly dramatic posing, aiming instead through relaxed standing postures to channel the effortless ease of a wonderful holiday. With its bold dopamine dressing color collisions and textural contrasts, this OOTD yields incredible shots whether for comic conventions or studio photography.
