This set is the bride cosplay photoshoot taken on-site at Firefly ACG Expo Day 3, featuring myself as the model, shot with an A7M4 paired with a 24-70mm GM2 lens. It's my first time trying this ethereal style that combines white gauze with tulle materials, and combined with the identity of my favorite character, I am personally highly satisfied with the overall completeness.
Let's first talk about the styling details. The wig chosen this time is silver-white, with a gradient treatment from light blue to pale cyan at the hair ends, and a special layered feel left at both sides. The head accessory consists of black ribbons and light blue geometric hollowed charms, paired with a pure white transparent veil, which almost replicates the character's iconic traits perfectly in place. The texture of the clothing material is very lightweight, with stacked translucent white gauze ruffles at the neckline. The off-shoulder design beautifully refines the shoulder and neck lines while leaving plenty of breathing room near the collarbone. The cuffs are made of white tulle, which not only increases the overall volume but is also stitched with yellow pleated lace trims. Dark blue ribbons are tied at the wrists, which sway gently with the wind when walking, adding to the dynamic aesthetic beauty.
On the skirt hem, it displays a gradient from pure white to aqua blue overall, with the outer layer covered in semi-transparent cyan-green tulle. The skirt face is adorned with pale yellow flower-shaped hidden patterns. The white gauze inner lining makes the entire skirt hem exceptionally fluffy, looking like a half-bloomed hydrangea when sitting on a chair or standing while holding the bouquet. What touched me the most are the leg accessories: white over-the-knee stockings paired with mint-green block-heeled pumps, along with an aqua-blue lace-trimmed leg ring worn on the right thigh, which visually strengthens the waist-to-leg ratio and looks much airier.
The makeup takes a clear, dewy route, focusing heavily on the purple-blue toned eyeshadow, with a few small rhinestones added to dot the inner corners of the eyes. Paired with large-diameter blue colored contacts, the gaze looks exceptionally gentle. The eyelashes are brushed to be perfectly separated, combined with an orange-pink toned dewy lip gloss, which better fits the romance and approachability of a bride character.
During the shoot, I mainly wanted to express a lightweight, dreamy, and relaxed sense of interaction with the lens. Figure 1 is a frontal shot looking directly at the camera while holding the bouquet, with both hands cradling a mixed bouquet of white roses and green leaves, wrists slightly pulled in to show elegance; Figure 2 is a backward glance, sitting sideways on a white fence with the head turned slightly back, exposing the contours of the back neck and spine, with the tulle slipping off the shoulder to reveal a hint of casualness; Figure 3 is selected as the cover, with the sitting posture turned more sideways toward the camera, knees pressed together and slightly offset, where the white stockings and mint-green high heels form a visual extension, cooperating with the leg ring and bouquet to keep the composition and color tones highly balanced. Figure 5 is a sitting posture, making a light reaching-up gesture with one hand while hugging the bouquet with the other, exuding a touch of playfulness; Figure 6 takes a flower-handover perspective, with the camera focus placed on my face and the bouquet, perfectly displaying the clear details of the entire costume.
The shooting site decorated a highly soft and clean indoor studio set, utilizing pure white branches, light blue and white flower arrangements, paired with large white gauze curtains. Under high-quality gear like the A7M4 and 2470GM2, the large aperture of F2.8 wonderfully blurred the white flowers and branches in the background. The light and shadow diffusely reflected from the direct side, making the model's skin texture appear exceptionally translucent and natural. The photographer did not perform excessive high-saturation processing in post-production, but preserved the original translucency and freshness of the tulle, presenting an overall cool yet slightly warm ethereal atmosphere. This styling was loved by many photographers on-site at the Firefly ACG Expo, and it feels truly wonderful to record it completely.
