This wedding dress style design for Firefly is truly full of exquisite details. From the gradient blue and white of the wig to the layered gauze of the skirt hem, and then to the bows on the chest and cuffs, I repeatedly adjusted every single small accessory. The sunlight was perfect on the day of the shoot, and the castle steps and lawn made for excellent photos. Especially the one taken on the steps, it captured a very natural dynamic movement as the skirt hem lifted up.
During post-production editing, to maintain the original lightweight texture of the outfit, I didn't overdo the filters. Instead, I focused on adjusting the skin tone and light ratio, making the frame translucent yet realistic. Currently, there are still thousands of photos waiting in line; I will edit them slowly, as I want to preserve the best state for every single image.
What tested me the most in this Roleplay session was the control of the overall aura. Firefly's gentleness and resilience need to be delivered through the gaze and body language. Although it was very windy during the shoot, it unexpectedly gave the hair a flowing, elegant feel. Making props and adjusting details by myself is truly time-consuming, but seeing the final photos makes me feel that everything was totally worth it. I hope the presented visual effects can make everyone feel the charm of this character, and I look forward to challenging more styles of looks next time in my future Anime-style photography journeys.
