The choice of location for this shoot matched the character's temperament wonderfully: a British vintage red telephone booth paired with a wall blanketed in red roses set a retro, dreamy tone for the entire composition. To capture March 7th's lively, vibrant spirit from Honkai: Star Rail, I wore ice-blue contact lenses for the makeup, echoing the character's original eye color. The pink wig was given dedicated layered trimming and sealed with fixing spray before heading out, ensuring it held its shape during outdoor shooting even against the breeze. For eye makeup, fine shimmer eyeshadow was applied with a deeper gradient along the outer corners, lending the gaze extra depth and three-dimensionality on camera.

Garment details were the top priority in prep. The blue-and-white top paired with a translucent blue shoulder drape caught diverse sheen nuances under natural light. To elevate overall fidelity, the light-blue camera pendant at the waist, black leather corset belt, and black choker at the neck were all worn in strict accordance with the character design. The blue-and-black color-blocked ankle boots paired with White stockings beautifully sculpted the leg lines in full-body frames, making my posture appear remarkably light and agile. For the shot balancing on one leg, finding the right balance while showing off the skirt's airy flutter required testing several leg elevation heights; the captured moment not only showcased the delicate texture of the White stockings, but also kept the motion looking completely natural.

The photographer, Mr. Wen Hao, demonstrated razor-sharp control over light and shadow. While framing inside the telephone booth, he blended outdoor natural light with the soft ambient glow inside to sculpt clean facial contours. In directing poses, he encouraged me to stay relaxed and experiment with booth interactions, such as leaning against the glass or resting a hand along the door frame. In the frames looking upward, the key was directing my line of sight toward drifting maple leaves while maintaining an expression of curious innocence. To enrich the mood, post-processing introduced drifting reddish-orange maple leaf effects, infusing dynamic grace into an otherwise still environment. The overarching palette presents a bold red-and-blue contrast, yet with soft-diffusion grading, the composition avoids harshness and embraces a whimsical, fairy-tale allure instead. Immense dedication went into prop fidelity and color harmony throughout the session, striving to project March 7th's adorable, energetic spirit. By continuously refining micro-expressions and body language, we aimed to portray her truest, most authentic state in every shot.
