The deep navy fabric has substantial weight and a tailored fit. The cropped top subtly exposes the waistline, which, paired with a high-waisted dark belt, visually elongates the legs. The white stockings pantyhose matched with buckled navy mid-calf boots are the highlights of this styling; the sheer sheen of the white stockings flatters the leg contours beautifully against the pure white background.
Our shoot centered around dynamic interactions using desks and chairs. My partner played the other twin, so we arranged distinct high and low poses. The higher-positioned character stood on the desk or sat cross-legged with an aloof, commanding demeanor, while the lower-positioned character sat neatly on a chair looking comparatively well-behaved. This height contrast perfectly brought out the polarity in their personalities. The biggest challenge was managing the tail props—the arrow-shaped and heart-shaped tails had to be secured with belts and fishing lines, and because our poses were quite dynamic, we had to constantly readjust them between takes.
For makeup, I opted for soft pink eyeshadow with prominent under-eye blush, which, paired with the elf ears prosthetics, created an authentic anime aesthetic. Managing the long green wig was equally crucial; it required meticulous brushing section by section to avoid frizz. The photographer chose a plain white studio background not just for minimalism, but to accentuate the contrast of the navy uniforms, green hair, and highlighted white stockings. We experimented with various angles throughout the shoot—like in photo five, sitting on a chair with legs apart flashing peace signs, which was playful while showing off the pairing of white stockings and boots. Sitting atop the desk with crossed legs also stretched the silhouette wonderfully. By the wrap-up, the stockings had gathered quite a bit of dust from the furniture, but thankfully it washed right out. Working with my partner felt completely seamless, and the intricate details on these blue uniforms look better the longer you admire them.
