Postures included resting both hands inside the apron pockets while standing at a slight angle, extending a card toward the lens as if serving a customer, and closing my eyes while making a cute hand gesture. Simple as they appear, executing these gestures naturally without feeling staged required persistent rehearsal. In particular, the shot glancing back over the shoulder demanded balancing sparkling vitality in the eyes with an upright posture to project pure, lively cheer. Remembering the popular meme 'every store is just short of a Miss Yamada,' this relatable part-timer concept felt wonderfully endearing, as though thousands of convenience store branches across the nation truly harbor such vibrant, spirited figures.
Though the shooting process was tiring, seeing the photos capture that gentle harmony of mundane everyday life and playful charm made all the hard work worthwhile. Integrating cosplay into authentic real-life spaces goes beyond mimicking appearances; it serves as a tangible expression of everyday working life.
