The shooting location for this time was chosen by the lakeside, mainly to utilize the natural lighting effects of weeping willows and the water surface, echoing Kagura's character design of having traditional elements coupled with wild tension. To restore Kagura's classic look in Gintama, a lot of thought went into managing the wig. The layers of the orange short hair needed to be trimmed short and detailed enough to give that casual yet energetic feel. The two black hair bun covers and purple tassels on top of the head are the visual focal point; to keep them standing firmly in front of the lens, hairnets and invisible pins were used extensively, and angles needed to be adjusted carefully when tying to avoid slipping or showing during head turns.

In terms of clothing, this red sleeveless Qipao has a specially modified pattern. The neckline is embellished with yellow traditional frog buttons, the waist is intentionally tightened, and the slit position of the skirt hem is much higher than ordinary Qipaos. This way, when sitting or bending the legs, the black base shorts inside can be exposed for easy movement without looking restricted due to a too-tight skirt. The matching black thick-soled high boots are also a key point; the wrinkles on the boot shafts need to be stacked naturally without looking too rigid, and the thick sole adds a height difference while giving the overall styling more weight, matching Kagura's inherent setting of having immense strength.

Regarding makeup, the base makeup was kept relatively clear and translucent, with emphasis placed on the portrayal of the eye area. Blue colored contacts are a must, paired with orange-toned eyeshadow blended across the eye sockets, with the eyeliner slightly elongated and upturned, and the outer corner of the eye deepened to showcase that slightly arrogant and disdainful gaze in front of the lens. Since the shooting environment was by the water, the lighting was extremely changeable. Afternoon sunlight hitting the side of the face can well shape facial three-dimensionality. To make the colors in the photos more saturated, I deliberately chose a time slot where the sun's angle was slightly slanted, so that the red clothes and orange hair stood out strongly against the greenish-blue willow tree background.

The first photo is a pose sitting on a rock supporting the cheek. This action looks casual at first glance, but actually requires tightening the core to maintain body stability, while carefully adjusting the bending angle of the left leg and the height of the boots so that the line of sight extends along the slit skirt to the leg lines. The gaze needs to maintain a sense of calm mixed with scrutiny, avoiding being overly soft. The second photo is a sideways sitting pose looking back, where the palm's placement on the rock must be precise without blocking the main body of the dress, and the slightly angled side body should just showcase the side tailoring of the clothes and the visual effect of elongated legs.

We encountered quite a few challenges during the shooting process, such as strong winds by the water causing the weeping willow branches to sway back and forth, requiring timing the shutter release to the moment the wind stopped. The rock surface was uneven, so walking around in thick-soled boots required extra care to avoid spraining an ankle. In addition, to maintain the character's aura, micro-expression control of the facial expressions was crucial—capturing Kagura's carefree and bold personality without letting the expressions collapse. Upon receiving the final photos, I was quite satisfied with the overall light, shadow, and color restoration. This background combining natural scenery with modern city high-rises actually fits the wonderful worldview of Gintama where the Edo period mixes with alien technology just right. The entire shooting process was physically exhausting, but seeing that vibrant giant in the frame made all these fussy details totally worth it.
