The comfort of these Dimension Fantasy Colored Contacts used as my purple contact lenses for this Emilia cosplay look was honestly unexpected. After wearing them for six consecutive hours, my eyes felt completely free of dryness, with no sliding or foreign body sensation at all, which is truly a massive plus for an entire day of outdoor shooting. The base makeup was kept quite light and thin, primarily to maintain skin translucency, so that it can withstand the test of high-definition lenses in front of the camera and form a great color contrast with the white wig for this white hair and purple eyes makeup look.

The details of the braided crown need to stay neat while avoiding looking too rigid, so pulling it slightly loose adds a sense of space. In terms of accessories, the white silk flower on the side of the head combined with the long purple cords is the finishing touch; during shooting, you can use the cords for some poses, which adds a lot of dynamic agility to the picture. The white bow tie on the neck paired with that golden star button, plus the green teardrop gemstone pendant on the chest, elevates the refinement of the entire look. The fabric of the costume is a white jacquard cloth with subtle patterns, which has a very solid texture, and the cuffs and collar edges are pieced with deep purple borders, which not only fits the character setting but also creates an upper-and-lower color echo with the purple.
When shooting this set of photos, the overall lighting was very bright and soft. The background used a hollowed-out white carved panel, which doesn't steal the visual focus from the character while adding a sense of layering and dreaminess to the picture. I particularly love the composition of the second half-body shot, which perfectly showcases the collar details of the outfit and the lines of the collarbone area. When holding the cords, turning the body slightly can better express the shoulder design of the costume. The state during this shoot was overall very relaxed, without intentionally forcing any poses, focusing more attention on the delivery of the gaze and micro-expressions.
Friends who usually find wearing contact lenses uncomfortable can really try this kind of non-ionic material or styles with moderate water content. Choosing a diameter that fits your own eyes' base curve will truly elevate the wearing experience for long durations. Once the entire look was done, paired with the right props, light, and shadow, the final photo output naturally turned out beautiful. In fact, to shoot every cosplay well, from makeup and hair to accessories, and then to the state during filming, a lot of care is required to smooth things out. I'm still very happy that I could resolve the worries of long-time shooting in terms of comfort this time.
