The focal point of this Nefer look was placed entirely on harmonizing the eye makeup with the accessories.
First, let's talk about the makeup. To complement the green starburst pattern of the Dimension Fantasy Colored Contacts, I used dark green as an eyeshadow base, layering yellow-green polarized shimmer over it, and slightly deepened and elongated the outer corners of the eyes. Delicate silver highlights were dusted across the lower lash line, while the crescent moon mark beneath the left eye was drawn using waterproof green gel eyeliner mixed with polarized pigment powder—a process requiring extreme precision, as any unclean edge would immediately look disjointed. For the lips, I applied a lustrous orange-pink lip glaze, and the metallic labret stud at the center of the lower lip was actually a tiny stick-on accessory added to enrich the layered detail.
The wig was another major styling focus. The base tone is deep cyan with peacock blue highlights woven into the inner layers; to give the strands a subtle, ethereal shimmer under the studio lights, I sprayed fine-glitter mist across the hair in advance. The blunt straight bangs required repeated straightening with a flat iron to ensure they rested right above the eyebrows, avoiding obstruction of the intricate golden headdress.
Speaking of this headpiece, its weight turned out to be far heavier than I anticipated. The triangular green gemstone at the center of the forehead required careful lighting adjustments during the shoot to bring out the translucent clarity of its facets. The golden neck gorget and pointed hand armor pieces offered immense visual layering, yet they had to be secured firmly to prevent slipping during posing. The gloves were black, accented with gold lines and green stripes; because the fabric fit snugly, when lightly curving my hand against my chin or lips, those clean lines naturally guided the viewer's gaze while heightening visual tension.
The Dimension Fantasy Colored Contacts worn this time featured a graphic diameter and pigment payoff perfectly suited for styling that demands intense eye contact. The edge transitions were remarkably smooth without appearing stiff or artificial. From starting makeup to wrapping the shoot, I wore them for nearly six hours—facing direct, intense studio lighting the entire time—yet my eyes stayed hydrated without dryness or lens slippage. For any cosplayer dedicating hours to focused shoots, choosing colored contacts with high oxygen permeability and superior moisture retention truly elevates the entire shooting experience.
When capturing these close-ups, I opted for soft side-backlighting. This lighting beautifully carved out facial contours and yielded gorgeous highlights on the golden accessories without muddying the facial makeup. Rather than designing overly dramatic poses, I relied on direct eye contact and subtle hand placements to evoke a serene yet commanding presence. Every aspect of this look, from micro-details to the full silhouette, underwent multiple refinements, all in hopes of faithfully recreating that exquisite fusion of fantasy and delicate craftsmanship.
