I tried assembling a personal custom version of Sparkle from Honkai: Star Rail inspired by the Battle Pass theme. I really love this pink and black plaid cosplay outfit. Since I've been quite busy lately, I didn't have time to prepare or craft many of the detailed accessories from the original work, so for now, please treat this as a personal fan-design interpretation. I apologize for any out-of-character (OOC) elements.

The core of this look is that large red V-sign prop. Although it's very different from her canon weapon, it happened to become the visual anchor for the entire shot, perfectly matching my Jirai-kei sweet-cool style and edgy-sweet fashion choice. The pink and black tartan camisole dress itself has a rich sense of layering; the multi-tiered ruffles combined with the black lace trim instantly bring out the character's lively aura once worn. The black cat-ear headpiece and light-colored twintails wig are also the soul of this look, coordinating beautifully with the pink phone case for a unified yet playful color scheme.

For the leg details, I intentionally designed an asymmetrical styling. One side features black fishnet stockings paired with a strapped thigh ring, while the other side combines over-the-knee black socks with lace-ups, topped off with chunky-soled black Mary Jane leather shoes with bows. This design maintains a cute, sweet vibe while injecting punk and rebellious visual elements. When taking mirror selfies during this fitting stage, you need to extend your body as much as possible—like lifting one leg as shown in my photos or finding a balance point while holding the prop—to fully prop up the fluffiness of the skirt's hemline.

Actually, Sparkle's character setting inherently carries a quirky and unpredictable trait. I feel that this pink and black color palette, paired with the exaggerated prop, fits perfectly with her vibe of "looking like a little devil but acting without holding back on mischief." Even though it's currently a fan-design version, the tailoring of the clothing fits my figure beautifully, especially the cinched waist and flared hemline, creating a wonderful A-line silhouette.

Since this is just a casual outfit testing stage, the background is quite domestic; you can see various cables and daily necessities on the table, which reflects my real life environment. Once I have more time later on, I plan to optimize the background in post-processing, or just find an outdoor location with natural light to shoot, which should turn out even better. For makeup and accessories, I chose purple colored contacts along with a pair of black-rimmed glasses to neutralize the overly sweet feeling, adding a touch of hidden malice and rebellious traits.

In terms of outfit coordination, I think the core of this dark-sweetheart style lies in the use of contrasting colors and the progression of material layers. If the pink plaid fabric is worn alone, it can easily look thin or even cheap, so elements like black bows, lace, and leg straps must be added to anchor the look. At the same time, the chunky shoes must have enough visual weight; otherwise, the color palette and volume of the skirt up top will make you look like a top-heavy doll, losing the cool and edgy vibe unique to subculture fashion. This fitting session has given me a lot of insight into Jirai-kei outfits, and if I can complete all the detailed accessories in the future, the level of completeness for this character will definitely be even more stunning.
