When changing into Robin's attire, the very first thing I felt was the weight of the accessories, especially that halo-like headpiece and the wing-shaped earrings. Although they were a bit heavy, it was entirely worth it for the final effect. The location for this photoshoot was chosen in a studio dominated by blue, white, and purple tones. The sense of a musical hall created by the piano and blue-and-white flowers fits Robin's character setting in Honkai: Star Rail perfectly. During the shoot, to find the right angle to capture the emotion in the eyes, we spent a long time lying on the floor adjusting the lights. Some petals from the cluster of blue roses by my hand had already fallen and brushed onto the lace of the skirt hem.

The butterfly and musical elements are a major highlight of this outfit. Whether it's the petite wing shapes on both sides of the hair, the starry sky decoration at the waist, or the pair of gradient faux wings, they all add a dreamlike and sacred touch to the overall look. In front of the camera, I deliberately chose to stay close to the piano, trying to use the touch of the keys to express the character's deeply inseparable connection with music. As for the scenes in the pictures where I am surrounded by a sea of flowers and gently touching a butterfly, to capture that exact moment, the photographer needed to optimize the macro lens settings, while I had to maintain a light and graceful posture without messing up the skirt hem.

The tone of the raw photos was already very rich. In post-processing, the cool-toned highlights were slightly enhanced, making the character look as if she were truly floating in a corner under the starry sky. While shooting, we kept playing the relevant soundtrack, which is the fastest way to get into character and make facial expressions and body language align better with the character's soul. Looking back at this set of photos, my favorites are the ones where I look back while sitting at the piano; with the faint light hitting my body, everything looks incredibly soft and serene. Although moving around with so many props and styled pieces was inevitably a bit inconvenient, I still thoroughly enjoyed it, because every successful expression is inseparable from these meticulous details.

This is probably the truly charming part of cosplay photography. It's not just about wearing a set of costume, but more like sharing a fleeting state of mind with the character. I hope these visuals infused with musical elements allow you, on the other side of the screen, to feel the warmth coming from the starry sky and the melody.
