This time, I am bringing you the Honkai: Star Rail Ruan Mei cosplay main feature photos. During the early preparation, I decided to take "the elegant charm of calligraphy and painting" as the core visual direction, blending the character's cool and aloof temperament from the game into the real-life scenes.

The tailoring of the entire costume fits the character setting perfectly. The blue and white high-slit dress, paired with leg rings and high heels, elongates the overall visual proportions. Meanwhile, the paper umbrella, bamboo curtains, and scattered calligraphy scrolls set the tone for this vintage Chinese-style scene, with a few sprigs of red plum blossoms embellishing the candlestick, neatly echoing the dark red strap details on her body.

In order to present Ruan Mei's composed and elegant state, I made a distinction between the compositions for standing and sitting poses, keeping the body language as natural and relaxed as possible. The most taxing part during the shoot was controlling the layers of lighting and props—not only ensuring a clear silhouette of the paper umbrella but also preserving the translucent texture of the gauze curtains and rice paper. The entire setup process genuinely required a lot of patience.

As a veteran cosplayer in the community, I have always felt that excellent photo works not only require meticulous costumes, makeup, and props but also need to inject the character's unique expression and sense of storytelling into the frame. This time, I made many attempts at controlling angles and emotions, hoping to better express this deep yet calm ancient-style aesthetic. I'm quite satisfied with the final photos; the detailed textures are all spot on, making it a mindful and attitude-filled creation experience for this piece of Cosplay photography and Anime cosplay showcase.
