Today it is drizzling continuously, which happens to echo beautifully with this blue-themed outfit. Speaking of this The Shorekeeper cosplay look, during preparations, we wanted to present a quiet and mysterious underwater atmosphere. My favorite part of this shoot lies in the material and layering of the costume; a large amount of lightweight white gauze was used as the base, with glossy light-blue tulle spliced at the top of the head and the skirt hem. Coordinated with indoor set lighting, these fabrics presented a shimmering, wave-like visual effect. Paired with the dark blue sheer fabric on the floor, it created the deep-sea texture of my imagination, perfectly channeling an underwater photography style.

Beyond preparing the costume, makeup, and props, many small props were used this time to enrich the frame, such as the transparent picture frame and white waterscape decorative flowerpots in the images, along with the metallic bead strings and small blue fish ornaments hanging overhead, making the entire space feel neither too empty nor cluttered. During the shooting process, we also captured some relaxed moments; the semi-reclining posture combined with the transition of light and shadow gives the entire set of photos an ethereal feel.

The biggest fear when shooting such an ethereal theme is it becoming overly sweet, so I did my best to practice subtraction in my gaze and expressions. Paired with light-colored contacts and translucent base makeup, I hoped to present the character's inherent serene and detached temperament. Although in real life, I also fret over traffic jams caused by today's heavy rain, and even face the dilemma of salary deductions for being late (laughs), being able to freeze this sense of serenity from the ocean theme through photos serves as a healing moment found within a busy casual cosplay routine.

I hope everyone likes this styling frozen against the dim blue background. Shooting is indeed a very energy-draining and physically demanding task, but the moment I see the final photos, I feel it's completely worth it. Although it's raining this weekend, I wish you all can find your own relaxation during your time off.
