This time shooting this set of photos for Wuthering Waves' Hsin, a lot of thought actually went into the preliminary preparation. Let's start with the makeup. To highlight the character's eerie and enchanting vibe, I made many adjustments to the eye makeup. The eyeshadow chose a reddish-orange hue, with extensive blending and elongation at the outer corners of the eyes, paired with bright yellow-orange contact lenses, hoping to present that captivating visual effect. The flame-like red mark right in the center of the forehead and the tear mole at the corner of the eye were both outlined bit by bit with paint, looking particularly tense under this close-up shot. The base makeup pursues a clean yet slightly translucent texture, so that it can support the intense eye makeup. Styling the wig is also meticulous work. The white blunt bangs needed to be trimmed with uneven edges to look natural. The most time-consuming part was actually that pair of black-and-white fluffy animal ears on top of the head. To make them look like they have a upright dynamic feel, I made a relatively rigid support structure inside, with the edges fixed using gold metal hair accessories, which both restores the gorgeous feel of the design and keeps it stable during shooting. The hair strands also had a lot of hairspray applied to maintain the texture flow. In terms of clothing, the visual impact of the red, black, and white tricolor is very strong. I especially love the white plush trim design at the collar and cuffs, which neutralizes the cold and rigid feel of the metal accessories on the clothes. The star-shaped pendant on the chest and the red-string gold-tassel necklace emit a very nice gloss under the lighting. To match the overall styling, I also specially grew my nails long and painted them with dark red nail polish, so that whether making a gesture of covering the mouth or letting them hang naturally, the hand details can withstand the camera's close-ups. The red totem tattoo on the back of the hand was also carefully drawn. There is a word "kiss" in this theme, so in the second picture, I added a red kiss mark pattern on my right upper arm. This small design, combined with the red totem tattoos on the arm and chest, gave the whole frame a bit more storytelling feel. In terms of posture and expressiveness, I tried a pose of half-covering my mouth. This action not only focuses the gaze more on the eyes, but also utilizes long slender fingers to guide the visual flow. The look in the eyes was kept as relaxed as possible, slightly lowered, with a hint of laziness and provocation to fit this concept carrying a somewhat dangerous aura. The lighting of this photo set also intentionally darkened the background, concentrating the warm light on the face and hands. During this shoot, I was also striving to fit the character's unique temperament, and I hope this set of photos can convey that unique aesthetic to everyone.
