This blue-and-white light gauze styling was planned with the thought of how to present cool tones with a soft, ethereal feel during its preparation. The actual built set turned out to be even more fitting for the theme than expected, so I personally love the final results of these photos very much, making it a highly satisfying piece of cosplay creation.

The background selected a large area of stacked white and light blue chiffon drapery. The draped texture paired with hanging transparent bead strands gives the entire space a refraction effect similar to water ripples or ice crystals. The biggest highlight is that massive blue butterfly model fixed to the right side of the scene, forming a beautiful color echo and balance with the blue hair and blue velvet satin ribbons in the lens. The mirror frame placed obliquely in the foreground not only echoes the vintage styling elements but also increases the spatial depth of the frame through mirror reflection. Trying to focus on the mirror reflection surface several times was truly interesting.

Although the outfit is overall composed of lightweight tulle and feathery lace, the complex structure at the neckline and the number of layers in the skirt hem actually require structural support. When shooting the sitting poses, holding a bouquet in hand, I tried my best to relax muscles and place the center of gravity on the waist and abdomen, ensuring the gauze skirt could spread outward in a natural state. The sparkling rhinestone high heels were also selected for a long time to give the foot details a bright sense of exquisiteness even under cold light. The hairstyle chose a cool-toned ice blue short hair paired with a touch of headpiece ornaments, making the overall blue-themed styling look both dreamy and refreshing.

During the shooting process, we also attempted a lying-down composition. The supine perspective paired with the action of cradling my chest made the entire posture look exceptionally relaxed and serene. That blue butterfly rested quietly on the edge of the mirror frame, plus the dried leaves and faux flowers scattered on the ground, along with that vintage small round mirror, gave the lying down frame more narrative feel, as if being placed in a fictional blue fairy tale still life painting.

This kind of rather cool, high-key lighting method heavily tests the mobilization of the live atmosphere. To separate the layers of the person's skin tone and the dress's white, on-site fill light underwent many fine-tuning adjustments. What looks like an ethereal frame actually requires very meticulous lighting handling to ensure the dark areas don't look messy or dirty, and the texture of the white gauze isn't eaten up by the light. The cool-and-warm neutralization carrying an icy mist feel in this set of photos largely comes from precise control over white balance, keeping the blue saturation within an elegant yet non-glaring range to perfectly capture this dreamy photoshoot.

This creation also counts as fulfilling my obsession with this blue theme, visually materializing that quiet, ethereal state I wanted into the photos. Whether recording the moments with a camera or personally arranging and performing it, the entire process gave this styling a different meaning based on the character from Wuthering Waves.
