[The Shorekeeper cosplay] Tranquil Blue Tone of Wuthering Waves: Resonance of Butterflies and Love

From conception to execution, this photo set originated from the line in the original post: "Can a feeling like this be called love? I'm certain... this is love." Perfect for the 520 time node, we set a shooting tone in a Dreamy blue and white style filled with ethereal fantasy.

For set construction, we avoided overly complex real settings, using pure white Roman stone pillars, royal blue velvet drapes, and widely spread white sheer gauze to build the space. Hanging transparent beads and scattered pale blue dried flowers added a touch of soft vitality to the cold scene. To create that unique lightness of The Shorekeeper, as if suspended in water mist and gentle breezes, dark blue glossy satin stretching across the floor served as the finishing touch, forming a striking material contrast with lightweight white gauze—both substantial and airy.

Outfit preparation also took considerable thought: a white-to-blue gradient hood for the head, paired with a light blue top featuring cutouts and metallic chain accents, along with an asymmetrical ruffled skirt. Overall tailoring and paneling strived to align with the character's cool, aloof disposition. The most special detail was going barefoot without shoes or socks during this shoot, which, paired with soft-focus and radiant high-key lighting, allowed the character to blend more naturally into the environment while highlighting an unearthly, almost divine cool texture.

I deeply agree with the original post saying "one set of photos edited into several color tones," because during post-processing for this set of Cosplay photography, I indeed tried several different color directions. Some versions lowered color temperature further, making royal blue deeper and raising light-shadow contrast to emphasize exquisite mystery; other versions utilized warm-white high-key filters, reducing color saturation to present a watercolor-like hazy softness. Experimenting with cool and warm tones was fascinating, with each version delivering distinct visual tension.

For pose design, to complement this dreamy scene, we tried two main states: lying down and sitting upright. For instance, the top-down perspective while lying down, combined with flowing fabrics and semi-transparent blue butterfly special effects, beautifully captured a chaotic yet aesthetically pleasing sense of motion. Meanwhile, the seated composition focused on capturing eye gaze and hand gestures—the moment holding up a blue butterfly with my hand, paired with serene tranquility in my gaze, perfectly echoed that unique, steadfast sentiment on 520, a day filled with a 520 romantic vibe.

Every creation, whether matching outfits and props or meticulous post-processing color grading, serves as a projection of character understanding. Though the process was demanding, seeing a unique beauty presented within this blue-and-white dreamscape made all efforts thoroughly worthwhile. This is not merely a cosplay share, but a deep record where vision and emotion collide.
