A tremendous amount of thought went into this Wuthering Waves The Shorekeeper cosplay outfit, from its preparation all the way to the actual photoshoot. The costume's blue-and-white color scheme is classic; to recreate that light, airy texture with a touch of divine aura, I invested a lot of effort into material selection. The outer layer of sheer fabric chose an organza with a certain stiffness so that the skirt's tiered layers could hold their shape, while the inner slip used a very soft chiffon, creating an ethereal flowing feel when walking. The blue wavy trimmed edge of the veil was a challenge; because it was hand-sewn, ensuring a natural arc without curling was essential. The pearl necklace around the neck and the pearl chain on the shoulder were also specifically chosen to reflect a soft gloss under the camera. For this shoot, two main props were prepared: the blue butterfly in the first photo and the white rose bouquet in the second. The butterfly took a long time to find online with such a vivid color; the exact moment it lingered on my fingertips truly made me feel as if I were guiding some mystical power.

In terms of makeup, to match this light blue short hair, the eye makeup utilized blue-purple eyeshadow for blending, with shattered diamond highlighter added around the eye area, making the eyes appear more vibrant under the high-key studio lighting. The circle lenses chosen were ice-blue with a large diameter, which enlarged the eyes while enhancing the character's otherworldly feel. For wig styling, hairspray was used on the front bangs to fix the layering, and side strands were guided along a natural downward drooping curve to avoid a messy appearance. As for securing the veil, several hidden clips were concealed inside the hair net, ensuring the styling's integrity without ruining the hair's texture.

During the shoot, the photographer suggested trying a pose sitting on a Roman column; this angle not only showcased the skirt's high-low asymmetrical design nicely, but also highlighted the lower calf lines and that very special butterfly ankle strap. As for shoes, white platform high heels excel at elongating leg proportions—a little secret trick for studio photography. The standing pose was meant to showcase the overall silhouette, while the bouquet imparted a quiet sense of ritualism. The lighting setup during the shoot was also fascinating: the photographer used two main lights emitting soft light from both sides, complemented by a ring light for frontal fill. This effectively highlighted skin texture while causing the costume's sheer fabric and pearls to reflect light, enriching the frame's layering. The cicada-wing-thin sheer layer of the skirt caught a halo along its edge under rim-backlight, yielding an extraordinarily dreamy effect.

Speaking of the butterfly decoration on the ankle, this was actually a custom-made strap. To fit the leg contour, I measured the dimensions beforehand, ensuring that when tied, it was neither too tight to dig into the flesh nor too loose to slip down. I also slightly processed the petals of the white rose bouquet to make them look more natural and breathable. The costume is packed with intricate details, such as the blue teardrop gems dotted along the skirt hem that sparkle when moving. The lighting and shadows for this shoot were predominantly cool blue-white tones, and post-processing slightly intensified this translucency. Overall, it was an immensely fun experiment; the feeling of piecing together that mysterious Shorekeeper image from my mind piece by piece was truly fantastic.
