Taking advantage of the National Day holiday, I finished editing this set of Wuthering Waves Youhu cosplay photos. For this overall character presentation, the focus was placed on the delicacy of facial makeup and the faithful reproduction of costume details.

The makeup portion took up the most of my time. To match Youhu's lively and somewhat quirky temperament, the base makeup was kept light and translucent, with a strong emphasis on facial color coordination. Blue contact lenses are the soul of the look, paired with large-area pink eyeshadow blending around the eyes, along with thickened, individually defined eyelashes to make the eyes look more vibrant. Silver-white makeup details were intentionally added above the eyebrows and forehead, adding a touch of fantastical Anime cosplay feel. Blush was applied under the eyes and on the nose tip, paired with a hydrating glossy lip tint, giving the entire face a rich and full visual effect.

For the wig, the large blue double buns on both sides and the blunt bangs in front required repeated trimming and styling to make the hair texture look natural. The small white hat on top adorned with a golden ancient coin shape is the finishing touch, combined with the thin white hairpins and blue flower clips hanging down on both sides of the buns, stacking the character's features quite completely.

Regarding the costume, this time I wore a sleeveless outer garment with a white base and gray patterns. The thunder patterns and metallic rivet textures on the clothing were well executed, paired with the yellow knot on the chest, giving it a strong Chinese-style game character vibe. What I particularly want to share is the design of the gloves, where the gray-black main body has bright blue irregular graphic patches spliced along the edges, coupled with pink-and-white cuffs, making movements look very layered when worn. During the shoot, because the gloves fit snugly, movement was reasonably flexible, and combined with the crisp texture of the clothing, it made my posture appear upright.

During the shoot, to express the character's playfulness, I tried various poses. For example, in the first shot, I gently placed the glove near my lips, looking straight into the lens with a hint of small smugness; another pose featured both hands raised on either side of my cheeks with a slightly parted mouth, looking even more vivid. In the last shot, leaning forward slightly with a pout—although the background is quite homely, that casual feel is actually very authentic.

Every time I do a cosplay, from the makeup test and adjusting costume details to constantly searching for angles before the lens, it is indeed an energy-consuming process. But seeing these light, shadow, and colors combine in the final photos to showcase the character's traits makes me feel that this National Day holiday was well spent. Wishing everyone a happy holiday as well!
